poseidon 1,185 Posted January 22, 2017 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I went to the Atlanta one and they were expecting 15,000 but 63,000 came out. Guys It was so motivating and moving, the march was like 2 hours but there was never a dull moment with constant chanting "this is what democracy looks like" and when we went past the CNN building "not fake news" (lol) or signs that would make you laugh or make you feel empowered. It really does show how much the people of my community wants an inclusive government and honestly so proud to be apart of Atlanta. ALSO I got to hear John Lewis speak (although for a short while) but it was still amazing to have such a hero in front of me and to know I walked with him in this march is incredible And our representative Hank Johnson who gave an inspiring speech about the progression we have made throughout history and how we should never go back. I feel like our local elections might also turn out with great numbers and I hope I can see change that will create a chain effect on our government.
