I was just harassed by a stranger on Tumblr & it's sad but amusing at the same time.

I replied, "Umm…who are you? Assuming all this is from the same person, did you really waste all that time to insult a complete stranger that has done absolutely nothing to you?

 "

The next morning I checked my tumblr inbox and got this:

To which I replied with:

"Could you say that again to me off anon though?

 "

Then of course I blocked and turned off my anon. I rarely get anon hate & when I do it would be just one message. This person had the time to send me 6 messages, bashing me. I didn't even do anything. Has this happened to you? I hear this is common.

Yeah someone from this forum started to send me annoying anons for a while on my tumblr, I never found out who they were tho lol.

 

I think it's better to take these things with a laugh and move on/delete, everything else is not worth it.

this is the state of my inbox even after deleting and reporting and blocking hundreds of them. at a few points i couldnt take it anymore and had breakdowns and stopped coming to tumblr altogether. they wouldnt leave me alone no matter how civilly I tried to respond to them.

 

Some messages are stupid and you can laugh them off but the death threats and mental illness insults really got to me
