Backpack, Tote or a messenger bag ? What do you carry all your school stuff in?

I've always been a backpack person. I love backpacks from Herschel, especially their "Little America" line of backpacks, but recently I bought this tote/duffel bag and I love it! 

Its Herschel's Strand bag

 

 

Its very spacious so I can fit in all my notebooks and textbooks and even a change of clothes if I need to.
