one of the best dramas for me tbh

Is really well-written, the writer is a rookie but she put so many details in it that a lot of us probably didn't notice until the latest episodes :o and the majority of the characters seem to have a story of their own so the story don't revolve only around Sorim and Hankyul, I wish the drama was longer so that we could see all the side-stories develope (For example, i'm really interested in Kang In Woo's story) I feel really sad about the ratings because this drama would benefit from an extension but I guess it isn't possible.

Let's remind ourselves this drama is going to air in Japan on June, hopefully is more appreciated there, is a shame K-public slept on this gem, the acting might not be phenomenal seeing as the majority of them are rookie actors but the drama is indeed a gem.

This drama was lovely, honestly I can't say I have wide knowledge about dramas but I watched multiple on my own and this is the type of drama I enjoy the most, can I call it a favorite? Maybe, maybe not, but it was a lovely experience that I could never get enough of.

The writing started up a bit weak but it showed great progress throughout and how the story didn't revolve around just the 2 leads but everyone had a story of their own was really pleasant to see, this is the first time for this drama's script-writer and I feel like she did an excellent job at putting everything together, she didn't had a great start sure, but she definitely finished it with a bounce and oh boy this writer have some great level of talent inside of herself, I want to know her name so I can keep track of her future projects haha.

I can see why fans of the source material would feel disappointed at this, there is no doubt Kim Jin Min PD wanted to stray away from the original story but is not necessarily a bad thing, this drama decided to do its own thing from the beginning leaving some hints from its source here and there but as a stand-alone the direction it went to felt just right for me, also considering he is the type of director who believes in artistical freedom of expression it must have been a tad bit difficult for him to direct and teach all of these on-screen newbies haha, but I see great promises between all of these rookie actors so he did a great job at leading them.

Sometimes the editing felt too choppy and it bothered me but I learned to get used to it and it actually added a lot of flavor to some scenes so at times I also felt thankful it wasn't perfect.

The acting felt awkward at times, a lot of them are new to this after all, but it didn't take away from the story, seeing all of these new faces learning and improving on each episode was a huge plus for me, felt refreshing in a way, like I said previously, I see great promises between this rookie actors and considering I grew attached to all of them I might be looking forward to their future projects (Lee Haeun and Kim Sungjoo need a drama of their own, they are too adorable for words).

The final episodes definitely revolved more around Crude Play but I have 0 complaints about that, I feel like their story and Mush&Co's might have given us some kind of insight regarding how the groups we love and support every day might be treated, is not perfect behind the scenes and despite the youthful teen vibe TLAHL did a great job at letting us know.

Mush&Co's storyline makes me wonder if is like this in groups where there clearly is a big popularity gap between one member and the rest? Are the lesser known members or the less talented ones treated in the way the female CEO treated Jinwoo and Gyusun? It wouldn't be shocking, at the end of the day it is all about the money, I hated the guts out of Choi Jin-hyuk before the final ep but bless him for taking them with him and wanting them to grow as musicians before doing a comeback so they don't share the same fate as Crude Play.

As expected, everything was resolved in the end and everyone got a proper ending, some happy endings and some not-so-happy ones (Dad and female CEO didn't go anywhere romantically? Yuna seemingly not being able to see Choi Jinhyuk? Professor Bong not appearing ever again like if he faded with the wind?), with the final scenes being full of heart-fluttering moments and lovely bromance boy I did smile like an idiot but now it hits me that I won't have new episodes anymore, i'm going to miss this drama!

It was a lovely ride, goodbye Lovely Love Lie: The Liar And His Lover, I would say this have re-watch value, if I really was able to bring myself into re-watching dramas or any TV shows for that matter lol.
