I finally spoke to Chanyeol.

Recommended Posts

I finally spoke to Chanyeol. I haven't spoken to him in a long time. The last time I'd spoken to him I was heartbroken.  We exchanged cordialities. I asked him how were his parents, he said they're doing just fine. I get the feeling he has gotten over me-- I can tell just by his blank face when she was answering me. I know just speaking to him-- even in a brief passing moment-- will do irreparable damage to my sense of well-being, because I have never gotten over him.

Chanyeol was a delicious companion, full of verve and personality-- full of good "unfunny" jokes and perfect at other people's. It was wonderful being in his company, because you always felt you were with somebody who will bring a ray of sun on the gloomiest day. In ordinary days, I find him very kind and thoughtful. When we were with other people, he was rather funny and adorable. I wonder if he might mind very much having all those golden years of his spent with me. I am most tremendously lucky to have had Chanyeol in my life as long and as closely as I did. It is not many who have such a glowing fire to warm their hands at. We quarrelled some times, but always slightly. Chanyeol was often immeasurably shocked with me, chiefly (directly or indirectly) at my habit of trying, to the best of my power, to arrange things for him, to tabulate, and to reduce to as little as possible the pressure of blind circumstance. He was, of course, always for letting things happen to her (perhaps he scarcely realized how his personality made at least some things happen to him which others would have had to seek out with effort).
