You guys getting Echoes? I was meh at reveal but after watching a few previews actually getting pretty hype for it, the DLC costing more then the actual game is a bit disappointing though

 

Oh and I deleted Heroes yesterday, it was fun for a awhile but eventually got really stale even with the numerous updates they made imo, I was essentially just logging in just to collect my free orbs everyday but even that couldn't keep me going

hell yeah I pre-ordered a copy the day it went up. i didn't get a chance to pre-order the special edition but i'm fine with the regular edition. i'm hype af for it to release!! i love the character designs 

 

tbh i deleted heroes like two days after i downloaded it. mobile games just aren't that fun to me.

 

The character redesigns looks pretty good especially if you compared to the originals

Well to be fair the 3DS will have 3 mainline entries when all said and then which is the same as what the GBA had and honestly I can't wait for a proper HD game

ikr. I'm probably only gonna use the switch for FE and smash if there ends up being a smash game for the switch, which I'm betting there will be. Still... ugh..

You have to get Zelda at least, best game I've ever played and I'm not even that big of a Zelda fan

 

Oooo excited for fire emblem on the Switch. But I'm immediately concerned about the lack of dual screens. Also, the switch has better resolution than anything FE has ever been on. I still have an old ass 3DS so the less I have to play on that, the better.

Super excited for Echoes, the reviews I've been reading basically say it's an improvement (as opposed to a shameless cash grab) of Gaiden(yay). Fates(faaaaaaates >:() really disappointed me when it came to story and characters and that doesn't seem like that's gonna be the case here(ive heard gameplay is a bit iffy, but the story and characters are great). I'm still a bit hesitant, but I'm really excited to check it out.

I love Fates but yeah the story wasn't the best but the gameplay made up for it, Echoes seems good too judging from the previews, glad they're trying new things out with the dungeon crawling aspects and whatnot

ehh i mean zelda's cool but it's just not a game i could get into

It plays nothing like other Zeldas though, you can literally go and do anything in the game, if you remotely like anything open world you have to get it, don't play it for the story though as that's easily the weakest part

Just got it too, I love how everything is voiced, makes the game more immersive and this Ace Attorney type setup is pretty neat

Hah yeah, but always nice to have voice regardless, are you gonna get the DLC? I think I might skip it tbh despite buying them for Fates unless I grow to love the game alot, it's just too expensive smh

idk I haven't checked the price yet but I might consider it if I like the game enough and the DLC seems interesting. I didn't buy any DLC from Fates or Awakening either so tbh I'm probably gonna end up not getting the DLC for Echoes either.

The whole season pass literally costs more then the base game lol, I might just get the ones with new classes and units

 

How are you liking the 'new' system, not having a weapon triangle is interesting although it does make a few classes feel the same, the item mechanics seems kinda cool although i wish we could equip more then 1 and archers seems OP as hell haha

I must say, I'm really enjoying the difficulty in Echoes, I'm only playing Hard Casual but still have had plenty of tense moments and it feels pretty satisfying to pull it off after losing one of your teammates early or something especially when those stupid summoners keep summoning more terrors OTL

 

Love how Clerics are so good too in the game too, about time healers were represented and after magic users were pretty much shafted in Fates, good to see them so prominent here.

 

The 3D dungeons are also pretty interesting especially when you find hidden pathways and chests although I wish we could see the whole map and having to go through one everytime if we want to use Mila statue is kinda annoying.

 

One thing I don't like though is on the world map, after each move you make weather on Alm or Celica side, there's always enemy reinforcements bearing down on you which can be annoying if you just wanna get to a town or something but have to fight a battle to get there and then back again

Finished Echoes a few days ago, shorter then I expected tbh but still really fun, definitely had the best story and world building over the last 2 games and I would comfortably rank it above Awakening overall but just below Fates just cuz I enjoyed the gameplay and characters more. They should make clerics and mages use hp for healing staves in the next game since I never used them in earlier games for fear I'd really need them

 

Act 5  of echoes is giving me the feels, like.....
 

Alm fighting and finding out his true father Emperor Rudolf, Celica being held captive and telling Alm about what is 'going' to happen and even Fernard finally admiting he was wrong and that his death came.. Like one after another killed my feelings. Poor Alm and Clive just    

 

 

I saw the Rudolf twist coming a mile away tbh but yeah Celica had quite a sad story but honestly I thought she was a bit dumb and naive for not realizing Jedah wasn't gonna help her anyway   and yeah tragic what happened to Fernand and Berkut, I honestly thought we could recruit them later lol when you first meet them or even Rinea at least since she didn't seem a bad person 

 

And that final boss with Duma, I know they were talking about it earlier in the story how Falchoin is the only one who can kill him but I didn't realize they were gonna do that literally in battle lmao  lost so many units cuz I thought you could attack him every 4th turn like Jedah until I finally looked it up online

We're actually getting some variety with Lissa and Frederick as axes users and Robin who seems to solely be a tome user.

I want to complain about Lucina but at this point i just hope the fact that she is a Marth clone won't be as obvious as in Smash

Why is Lissa an axe user lmao, I hope it doesn't mean there aren't any staff users in the game  There HAS to be some pegasus knights too coming too, they're too iconic not to include

Seems like she is a War Cleric because staves weren't offensive weapons in Awakening and considering it was also not the case in Fates or Shadow Dragon (i believe), i doubt we will get staff users because healing characters will be useless.

 

Pegasus Knights are definitely coming, we are for sure getting Hinoka and Cordelia, maybe Caeda since Marth is in the game

Well by staff I kinda meant magic users in general but I guess we have Robin for tombs

 

Yeah I hope so, tbh I'm probably not gonna get this game even if it had the characters I wanted, from what I've seen of gameplay footage, it just seems like the standard warriors game which I find so dull  Wish they made a fighting game instead or even 3D brawler like the many anime games around

Yeah, i think magic users will mostly be tome users

I personally like musou games and their mindless fun but so far i'm not that interested in this one as i don't particularly care for most of the characters outside of Frederick and Xander

 

I like the idea of a 3D brawler with a Tekken or KoF style, maybe one day.

Do you mean old school KoF sprites or the new 3D models? But yeah, literally any other genre then musou I probably would've bought haha

 

man berkut seems so calm and collected and confident in himself but then you get to act 4 and he completely loses it lmao. i think he's one of my favorite characters in echoes. definitely my fave is kliff. his character design and personality is good shit and when you make him a mage he's a beast.

 

for warriors, the story seems interesting but the gameplay just totally loses me. i think i'll pass.

The way he sacrificed his beloved just for more power was tragic and when he finally realized his mistakes as he dies

I have Warriors, pretty much standard musou with FE elements tbh, I kinda regret getting it since I hate musou games but if you somewhat like/tolerate it I would reccomand it especially if you're a big fan of Fates and Awakening

Installed FEH again after not playing since Easter and got the new character Fjorm after using like 100 orbs lol, they have so much new features now, it's pretty overwelming

Fjorm is given away for free though if you beat Chapter 1 of Book 2. I had like 100 orbs saved for this event for Hector and Easter Camilla, got the Hector but still no Camilla (though I have like 20 orbs left).

Haha yeah I realized that after, still not bad though, got Bride Cordelia, Celica, Amelia, Titania and Ninian aswell. Seems they upped the 5 star drop rates from when I last played which is nice

anyway I'm about 150 orbs deep into the 8% banner, I just wanted either of the Spring units (mostly Xander for carrot lance fun), Bride Cordelia, and/or ANY of the reds (preferably Celica) but I don't think it was meant to be. My sister wanted Bride Cordelia too but got her on her free summon(!), I'm still not sure whether to laugh or cry

 

I've got Hector though which is nice and Bridal Caeda who isn't that good but she is so beautiful so I'm okay with it

 

Just out of curiosity who did you choose as the free 5 star? (if that's still a thing)

Yep still a thing, I got Bow Lyn cuz 3 movement plus Bow sounded really good. I really want Hector but never managed to get him so far, he was my fav in FE7

Yeah FE Warriors is so bland, I hate musuos anyway and apparently it's one of the better ones but I got tired of it so quickly. BOTW is sooo much better and one of my fav games ever and I'm not even that big of a Zelda fan

 

Brave Lyn is pretty much the best unit in the game so you made the right choice. They upped the 5 star drop rate for the new banner to 8 percent (with rates getting higher the more you summon) but the other banners and upcoming ones will be the same as always.

 

Oh really, do they do these high % drop banners often? I should probably take advantage but there's probably gonna be Christmas banner soon...

I can also vouch for BoTW, it's great. I wasn't a big fan of FE Warriors. I'm not big on hack-and-slash games and because of that I couldn't really get into the gameplay, too repetitive for me. The Switch will get a real FE title at some point so just hold out for that.

I love Soleil in Fates but her skills don't seem too good here and they're missing my fav child Ophelia

 

My sister got Spring Xander, this game is definitely trying to wind me up

 

I think I'm done with this banner, Effie with Carrot Lance is not happening :( going to save now, maybe put in a few orbs if some more FE8 characters are put in, wish I could summon for Lute but I'm low on orbs...

 

They definitely don't happen often, as far as I can remember this is only the third banner with increased rates. The other two were Hero Fest 1 (back in April) and 2 (back in August). This current banner is the best of them as well since there's no chance of off-focus pity breakers. Keep in mind though that IS has implied there will be another Legendary banner by the end of the month. Sounds like they're going to try and suck out everyone's orbs with that + inevitable Christmas banner.

 

And I've been saving all these orbs since they first announced the banner a few weeks ago lol, been grinding out Tempest Trials for more orbs as well. I'm a student with not a lot of money so spending on orbs wouldn't be the best idea lol

Nice, I've been grinding all the story stuff I missed and have almost 100 orbs again, so sad I missed out on the swimsuit banners

Just did the 2 new banners, literally every character I drew I already had RIP I think I used up all my gacha luck drawing Jack the Ripper in FGO

Definitely did not expect Rhajat. Tharja should be on the Christmas banner so in a way, we're kinda getting two new Tharjas this month... if it had to be a Hoshidan girl why not Mitama :(

 

I'm most likely not going to spend orbs on this, I'll try red for my free summon because Soleil is indeed adorable but I'd rather save. Even if I really wanted her I'd end up getting Siegbert anyway, pretty annoying when a unit you want shares a colour with some unit you don't want.

 

I missed out on the summer banners too, I was super busy over the summer and didn't have the motivation to play FEH, only started playing again with all the CYL stuff which was after the summer stuff :/ really hope Summer Corrin and Xander come back, Corrin is great for a lot of reasons and I definitely need that Lilith floatie

 

Omg yeees, forgot about Mitama, she was awesome too, the way she spoke in riddles made me laugh every time    and yeah Tharja is so overrated imo, personally prefer funny and bubbly characters

Got nothing of note in the new Childrens banner, didn't help that i pulled 2 Jagens , well at least I got all my 5 stars to max level, the 2x EXP bonus really helped

Edit: Wtf, I just realized all my 5 stars except for Takumi are female and that was only cuz I rerolled for him at the start lol Gimme Hector, Ryoma or Ephraim plz

Used like 70 orbs, got Ryoma, Innes and Elise, that's enough, at least I finally got some male 5 stars

 

Not going to spend too big on the 8% banner, as much as I want the colorless and Spring units, I need as many orbs as possible for the New Year's Takumi and Azura fund lol

Oooh yes, I saw the leaks, I wouldn't mind Azura since I don't have any form of her yet
