Yeah, he probably is boring tbh. I'm just going off of looks for now, since I haven't read too much on the plot yet. I want to be surprised when I play it for the first time. So in the end, I'll probably go for a different character.

I managed to pre-order a special edition. Actually, I pre-ordered it from three different places... then cancelled two of them once I got one from the Nintendo UK store.   The desperation for that all in one cartridge was real.

I got the game yesterday. Loving it already. Decided to play Birthright first.

 

For those that have the limited edition, did you guys have a code for Relevation or was it just an update to the game (coudl be an update releaseing in a few weeks time here) really confusing on how Nintendo did this. Was also supurised that the box didn't have two different games but one big game that contains both paths. /: Really loving Conquest so far though..... .But I hate the king of Nhor he's a d*ck and I want to punch him in the face if he wasnt king  

It comes inside the cart. Basically, once you get to a certain chapter, you get the option to branch into one of three paths (Birthright, Conquest or Revelations). The choice you make decides which version you'll play in that save file. And that one in all cart is really rare, so I'm happy with how they went about it. I'm sure it'll be worth a lot in the future.

I'm already on Chapter 13 of the ame, I will need to check through the screen again, cause i only saw Conquest and Revelations. will need to double check it. 

You got the limited edition one, right? When I got to that chapter I got the option to fight with Hoshido, Nohr or refuse to join either.

Yeah I just double checked, first time when I played it, I only saw two options. Now just skipping the six chapters (menu option) I just saw the third option.

Really jealous that EU limited edition got a poster. Although I think the tin case was a really dumb thing to include. Hope the Europeans here are enjoying the game though!

Steelbook covers are one of my favourite parts of limited/special editions tbh. And yeah, the poster is nice. What did the North American version come with?

I am in love with Rinkah's character design in this game, and I'm on Chapter 12 now, I'm really trying to make her work, but she doesn't seem to be that great a unit, I'll stick with her though~

 

Also sucks that I'm also in love with all the ninja designs in this game, I also made my character's talent ninja too for some reason, UGH, decisions ;~; 

I'm on the same chapter as you, and I also chose Ninja for my character. I feel the same about the ninjas, too. They seem interesting. I like Rinka's character design, but I could take or leave her personality.   There are too many moody characters in Hoshido tbh.

 

Ah, then hopefully I'm wrong and a lot of people actually do like it haha. It just seems pointless to me since it already comes in its own case, I don't see any point in including another one. For the US version, along with the artbook, it came with some (Gamestop exclusive) keychains and a 3DS carrying pouch.

I need that Ryoma keychain. ;; The Nintendo UK store had an exclusive pre-order bonus, too. A metallic gold coin with the Nohr and Hoshido emblem on each side, that came in a little black pouch.

I didn't unlock many supports with her, just a B rank with Silas and she was a bit moody, but I thought it was cute and a B rank with Saizo and tbh she seemed to be the level headed one there so eh lol, but maybe it changes~

Oh, it was early impressions for me, too. I only unlocked C support with her. I may warm up to her more later.

 

I will say, though, that the support conversations in Awakening seem more interesting so far.

I tired downloading multiple emulators from various sites and there aren't many emulators for Macs, and the only ones for Macs aren't compatible with the most recent software versions  I've been thinking about getting a Wii U for a long time but there just aren't many games I'd want on it, so I don't think I'll be getting one :'-( but I did find a seller on amazon that sells Sacred Stones for $40 and I think that's the best deal I'm gonna get with this game, so I think I'll just go and buy that. 

 

By far the characters with the best supports are with Saizo, Niles, Jakob, Odin, and Elise. For some interesting supports I suggest:

Saizo and MU,  Saizo and Kaze, Saizo and Kagero (the supports aren't really that great but it reveals what kind of relationship they have and I find it kinda interesting), Oboro and Takumi (not that interesting but it's kinda cute), MU and Reina

Niles and MU, Niles and Camilla, Niles and anyone tbh, Odin and Laslow, Laslow and Xander, Elise and Leo, Xander and Charlotte, Camilla and Leo, Leo and Elise

 

(Rev)

Elise and Ryoma, Niles and Subaki, Niles and Oboro, Kaze and Selena, Beruka and Saizo

I love most of those characters already, so nice. Especially Jakob.   The conversation between Frederick and Jakob in the Before Awakening DLC was pretty funny lol.

haha yeah more often than not your avatar will be the most op unit, just second to azura. on my first birthright play through i married kaden, but right now in my 2nd hoshido play through i married ryoma  his hair is everything 

He's my favourite character, too.   And yes his hair is everything lmao.

 

 

I'm confused that you can marry Ryoma, though, since he's her brother?

Oops, I guess I spoiled myself by asking about this. But it's good, because Operation Marry Ryoma is back in action. 

 

He just joined my party again so I can start building support with him.

 

 

My monk is second highest level *.* I love using him as my healer (sorry younger sis) but he's a lot easier to use for my strategies.

I always use Jakob and a Pegasus knight as a healer so I know that my healers can defend themselves. Really wish all healers could also use weapons otherwise I'd use Sakura and Elise more.

 

 

after finding out the whole "will you side with the family that raised you or your blood family" makes no sense to me knowing that they aren't related to you by blood either lol.

 

 

So if I wanna visit a castle from the UK I can't since I'm in the US?

I'm doing the same with Jakob and Azura. I love Sakura, but I liked knowing that Jakob can hold his own. And then she was kind of forgotten about in later battles as the gap grew wider. 

 

 

I don't know all of the details, of course, but it kind of sounds like they added this plot twist so Corrin can marry as many people as possible.  I wouldn't put it past Intelligent Systems.

I use three healers. Don't know about you guys but Sakura is my low level healer (level 1 to 15 missions). While having my main to be my monk and Jakob is my secondary healer who can fight. Everyone of my characters have a healing potion. Just in case there is two or more different paths and I'm using it to my own advantage of having a main and a secondary alongside some people with potions.

 

I'm currently rolling my eyes on chapter 12 mission. Could have done it within 2 turns OTL

And yeah I make sure everyone has a vulnerary or concoction, too, just in case they're in a pinch with no healers near by. Sakura does seem like she would level up great, but I guess there's always a lot of other options, too. I might use her in another playthrough. She seems sweet.

So dlc purposes /: kinda hate that when developer put a character with so minor details without explaining much. Just to squeeze some money from the gamer :( and like how does she even get that power to open my castle up. Even the advisor have some conversation.

 

Edit: anyone in Europe knows where I can get an amibo I'm looking for Lucina amino :( (Apparently my brother's favourite character from Smash Bros and his waifu O.O can't seem to find her. Even on Nintendo website it gives me a deal of Marth , Ike and DLC pack 1 and a t-shirt for Fates but no Lucina. .....

Regarding Chapter 15 of Birthright:

 

 

Kaze 'died' in the story, by sacrificing himself and saving me, but we don't actually see him die. But someone just told me that I could have prevented it by getting to A support with him. Is this true?  I assumed he didn't really die, and would come back later in the story.

It's true, luckily I was spoiled about that before and got A Rank with him beforehand lol  Though it seems like a silly arbitrary thing as that support convo didn't really have anything to do with the story.

 

 

 After he pledged himself to serve me and everything.  I think I might have an earlier save... good thing I didn't delete the recent ones, as I deleted the extra saves I made at the start. I need to finish the game with all of my party.

I'm so slow. I just realised that all of the Hoshido girls have short hair, and the boys have long hair (well I noticed the boys had long hair, I guess I just didn't pick up on the contrast lol).

haha I noticed that too the other day when I realized while the hoshido sisters have short hair, the nohr sisters have long hair, and while the hoshido boys have long hair, the nohr boys have short hair

I didn't really pick up on it with the Nohr since that's how it usually is most of the time.  Guys have short hair and girls have long hair. But that's a good catch.
