The dream would be just to release a FE mobile game that actually incorporates the SRPG gameplay since that'd be perfect for touch screen devices but ofc you can't just release that for free Or they could do like Square does, just port Fates to mobile and give it a proper price but allow a free trial or demo so people know what's it about before they buy. I just want something with substantial gameplay tbh

What was wrong with revelations? I never used Odin anyway :P His daughter is pretty good though with the extra crit rates

My main gripe with Revelations was that especially when it got to later units like Laslow and Odin, they didn't feel up to where the game was at the point where it was, especially when you have characters like Ryoma, Xander, and Leo introduced fully promoted (not to mention with good weapons to, but that's a duh), and then you have Odin here at Lv.12 Dark Mage and me being the lazy bum I am didn't want to go through so much effort to have to train him in order to use him. (Overshadowed, that's the word I'm trying to think of duh, I'm dumb.)

 

Ophelia's fun tho, agreed. I'm so happy she inherited her father's antics for theatrics (but maybe that's because I find it annoying yet endearing at the same time.)

Yeah tbh I feel like magic users throughout have been pretty nerfed in Fates, think I only used the royals magic users in my story playthrough plus Nyx but she was hella fragile and did not see much action. Sakura with shining bow wrecks everything though lol

 

And my fav children personality wise were definitely Soleil and Nina haha ;P

I haven't tried Shining Bow Sakura yet, probably will later tho ha, considering I do like my magic weapons. Maybe it was because I ended using stuff like Bolt Naginata and Flame Shuriken way more tho.

 

I didn't like Soleil that much, but maybe that's because I didn't like her father that much either and association got to me. I liked Dwyer and Asugi however, for what reasons I have no idea lol. Nina was hella funny to read tho.

Yeah tbh I find most magic weps pretty useless unless they're already a base magic user since the damage is always gonna be less then if you're using normal weps or fighting generals lol. Even for my Camilla, her bolt axe was hardly ever use and I just changed her to a Wyvern Lord post game since it gives better STR and SPD.

 

Ahh okay, I also like Mitama cuz of the way she speaks in poem lmfao. Who would you say is your fav character in the game?

Mitama is a fun one, I really enjoyed how her and Dwyer kept bickering back and forth lol.

 

I can see why some people would think that the mag weapons aren't that good, it's probably because I just really enjoy hitting people at 1-2 range because I don't want to use Javelins and Hand Axes. Wyvern Lord Camilla sounds boss, I have got to try that.

 

Hmmm, if I had to pick some fav character in Fates, ignoring obvious husbando bias, I'd probably say Leo or Felicia. Hbu?

Yeah you can't double with ranged weps anymore so magic weps is a good alterantive I guess.

 

I'm always partial to comical characters haha so anyone who has a weird/funny archtype I love like Arthur, Setsuna, Izana etc xD

For me and comical characters, I'm mixed and I don't really know why. Like I dislike Arthur and Setsuna but I really like Izana and Azama.

Ahh okay, tbh I can't say I really dislike anyone in the cast, at most just neutral feelings. I like them waay more then Awakening though, found most of Awakening's cast pretty bland >.<

I actually like Awakening's cast more, but maybe that's because that was the game that got me into FE in the first place.

Fair enough, my first FE game was FE7 on GBA. To be fair, I never really got any of the children in Awakening so have missed out on them but from the base characters can't say anyone really stood out for me, maybe just Maribelle cuz of her snobbish princess demeanor

That's fair, I only liked Maribelle (and well, most of the cast) because I took the time to grind out almost everybody's supports up to A as well as obtaining the children, hence why I'm so biased towards Odin (via Owain). First impressions really do stick for quite a while tho I admit, I used to have the same opinion of Maribelle you had.

Have you played the Fates DLC that shows how Odin, Selena and Laslow came to be in Fates?

Haven't played it, but I have read some spoilers and the like of it, but nothing comprehensive at all.

It's not bad, gives some more insight into the final boss but yeah nothing too substantial so you're not missing out on too much.

Because we all know that I'm gonna splurge the moment FE15 comes out and become broke once more

They'll probably be at least a few years away haha, I wish they'd release all the DLC from Japan first and maybe even some challenge maps, all of my units are 20/20 and I'm just grinding eternal seals for no reason really just to cap stats

I don't mind the children and you're not forced to use them if you don't want to (besides Chrom's) and extra characters is never a bad thing imo and they balanced them more in Fates anyway so they're not all OP like in Awakening so they're even more optional 

 

Plus we all know shipping is a big part of FE fandom anyway

Actually, I'm curious. Since I only know 2 games in the whole series, how many other games had pairs in them and were they different?

 

In terms of children only Fates and Awakening had them plus an earlier game in the 90s, other games you can S rank characters too but they'd just recieve extra bonuses when they're near each other (pairing up was also introduced in Awakening)

Tbh I'm surprised her purple hair isn't a bit darker but maybe it's just the lighting, does look good though but I don't even wanna imagine the price

Excited for the remake, not so much the warriors game since I don't really enjoy that genre and should've known the mobile game would be a gacha type game, at least the artwork looks cool I guess and there some stragety involved however small the maps may be.

Rerolling is so annoying, I just want a Corrin, Lyn or Camilla ;(

 

Tbh of what I've played it seems okay as a FE Lite game, wish most characters didn't have only 2 MOV though and 5v5 instead of 4 like FFBE would be cool,

 

Wish they would just port some of the mainline games though, I would pay full price for them again

Welp after extensive rerolling, finally settled on a team with Takumi, Tharja, Peri and Anna, just gotta get a better axe user to replace Anna and I think my team is pretty much set, Takumi is gonna be so OP when I get him that close counter skill

I just finished Ch 9 on normal..is that it as far as story goes? If so, not sure if I'm gonna bother doing the other difficulties and might just wait for them to add more stuff since it kinda ended on a cliffhanger

Yep, tbh I think I'm done with this game, not enough gameplay depth for me even with the different skills and whatnot, classes like swordmasters which are my favs are basically outclassed by tankier heroes cuz there's no dodge and critical rates in the game :(

Managed to just sneak in over 3k points for arena, the amount of feathers you need to upgrade from 4 to 5 is pretty much a joke though

How you got 3k with that team? I don't even have 3k and I have a team of lev 40 5*. Is that not your main team?

Nah that's my main team, I think they scale it to your level so you can rank high at any stage, I just did a few advanced opponents and managed to win seven in a row for bonus points
