Yeah, but I'm not a fan of it's being pretty much easy mode and stuff, but yeah, I like the character designs much more.

Newest info from the latest Famitsu interview with the "if" developers

• The cutscenes will be from the first-person perspective of your avatar character Kamui.
• Even in Phoenix mode, you can lose if you fail to meet victory conditions, such as reaching a destination within a certain number of turns.
• Attack Stance and Guard Stance is the new version of Awakening’s Dual and Pair Up systems.
• Attack Stance (where fighting adjacent to an ally allows for that ally to perform a follow-up attack) is fantastic for improving your damage output, but it doesn’t really help your units when enemies decide to gang up on them.
• Guard Stance is where 2 allies combine into 1 and 1 of the allies can deflect enemy attacks. It's good for absorbing a lot of enemy attacks. Basically, players are encouraged to adopt different stances according to the given situation.
• Javelins, hand axes, and other similar weapons (but not naturally ranged weapons like Tomes or Hidden Weapons) can no longer double attack. It's going to be even trickier to use Pegasus units now, especially since arrows are now effective against lances. lol
• The red-haired Pegasus rider is confirmed to be a boy!
• The classes available largely depend on the campaign chosen. So in Nohr, you will typically see more characters in familiar classes, like Cavaliers. While in Hoshido, most of the characters are in Japanese-themed classes, like Samurais.
• The weapons you can obtain depend on the campaign too. For example, in Nohr, you will commonly obtain “swordsâ€, while in Hoshido you are more likely to find “katanasâ€, which have slightly different properties.
• Hoshido is based on ancient Japanese culture, while Nohr is built on the series’s traditional Western fantasy setting. While Nohr is Western-themed, it also carries a dark atmosphere; its castle even stands in the middle of a giant hole in the ground. In terms of the setting, Hoshido is a pacifist kingdom with exceptional peace and order. In contrast, Nohr is subject to terrible weather conditions, leading to poor crop yields and a lack of law and order. In order to expand Nohr’s influence, King Garon orders his children to invade Hoshido.

Oh shoot at that red-haired rider being a boy! I'm normally so good at picking up on that in anime stuff, like, I knew Lucina was a girl when I saw her disguised. And lol, I thought he was the most attractive girl in the game so far lol.

 

Also, I glanced really quick at that cosplay pic at first and thought that the Tharja cosplayer was Sunye lol

I love that new blonde character. Her design fits in with personality of tricking men into thinking she's frail in order to trap & defeat them. Another reason she reminds me of X-Men's Emma Frost.

 

And the Severa similarity appears intentional given Severa's huge popularity in Japan, Severa's Japanese character name being based on the sun goddess while this character Luna is based on the moon, and Luna saying something in the videos like "I think I've seen you before"

 

I think she looks really out of place esp because it looks like she's wearing what looks to be a tank-top to battle. She'll still probably be the kind of character I'd enjoy, I love her archetype in games, but her design is off-putting to me right now lol.

Lazward's face and personality reminds me of Indigo from Awakening, also the fact that he's a dancer lol

Yep! Dw I'll put it up when it's uploaded, though they didn't introduce too many new things that isn't already in this thread, they played through the intro though, showed the first battle you were in and some cutscenes after and explained what was happening until you choose either Nohr or Hoshido.

 

Then they showcased My Castle, building shops, online battles, all that.

also aqua's name is azura in the english version, i wish they kept it as aqua

 

I don't know why they changed it tbh, aqua makes sense and is a nice name.

This game is going to get censored so fucking hard in localization considering how touchy they were with Awakening.

 

I hope they get some balls, keep the M rating (lelelelel) and do it as close to the original as possible.

HO-LY SHIT lol, I was expecting some kinda suggestive or some sub-text but nahhhh, they just get straight to the point looool, I die.

 

Ngl, some of the line do actually give me pause, esp the ones where they out and out refer to the fact their siblings lol it's so weird! It gives me this weird feeling of laughter and awkwardness, like I can't believe this is happening.

 

EDIT: I just got to Elise and I'm def just feeling uncomfortable, with adults it's fine, but when it's with kids, it gets off-putting.

Seeing hair number 9 makes me sad, the artist in this game was also the artist for another game I loved "No More Heroes", and there was this one girl I liked, Shinobu, and that hairstyle reminds me a LOT of her.

 

 

 

 

If it had a skin colour option, I could've created her and played through the game as her and it would've been AWESOME ;O;

I'm also sad there's no "body type 3" they're normally the more adult ones and the female adult type wad my favourite style last game, now it's like, you can pick kid girl, teen girl, teen boy and adult boy.

For children I just want Ophelia and Kinu so I'll have to marry Owain and Nishiki lol. 

 

I'm not really liking this whole clone-character thing. Like, Shara is basically Tharja, Grey is basically Giaus, and Matoi is basically Cordelia. I know those characters were popular so they wanted to make characters just like them in Fates, but I see no originality. If it was just one character I wouldn't mind, but 3.. Not to mention Foleo is basically a male, younger version of Maribelle. 

 

 

Seriously though, yeah, it's a bit lame, but like 90% of the designs are quite cool and with a series like this, where around 40+ characters are playable each game and each have their own personalities, I'm quite forgiving of characters with personalities similar to previous characters, I mean unless they were the mains.

Kamui was announced as a new fighter in Smash Bros today! Apparently his/her english name is Corrin. There's major spoilers about the character if you haven't played FE Fates yet, so I wouldn't recommend looking at his/her announcement trailer if you haven't played Fates.

 

Also, they showed a bit of the voice acting from the FE:Fates, which...I'm not very thrilled about.

I am in love with Rinkah's character design in this game, and I'm on Chapter 12 now, I'm really trying to make her work, but she doesn't seem to be that great a unit, I'll stick with her though~

 

Also sucks that I'm also in love with all the ninja designs in this game, I also made my character's talent ninja too for some reason, UGH, decisions ;~;

I'm on the same chapter as you, and I also chose Ninja for my character. I feel the same about the ninjas, too. They seem interesting. I like Rinka's character design, but I could take or leave her personality.   There are too many moody characters in Hoshido tbh.

 

I need that Ryoma keychain. ;; The Nintendo UK store had an exclusive pre-order bonus, too. A metallic gold coin with the Nohr and Hoshido emblem on each side, that came in a little black pouch.

 

 

I didn't unlock many supports with her, just a B rank with Silas and she was a bit moody, but I thought it was cute and a B rank with Saizo and tbh she seemed to be the level headed one there so eh lol, but maybe it changes~

I just got to the chapter where I got Scarlet, and both her and Reina look so badass! I would've loved if they had supports with others~

I'm sticking with Sakura as a healer, I don't know what it is with her but she just never seems to get hit in my run, like, I do something stupid with her and she just dodges everything like a pro.

 

Plus, I hear that her reclasses are quite good and she has good growths too.

 

Plus Azama's kind of an ass, so no thank you lol~
