my guess is january 2016, for some reason january seems to be a good month for RPG's here

 

so still half a year of wait

The translators of the game said it is to be expected to be released December 2016

I pre-ordered the bundle as soon as it was available again. My Lucina amiibo should be arriving soon so I'll be able to have her as a playable character in the game 

Also, I saw this post on Tumblr about things Nintendo USA cut out for Fates version. I'm not sure I completely trust this. Like, they supposedly got rid of the marriage and children option here, but it wouldn't make sense to cut out marriage/kids in Fates but keep it in Awakening. I'm just gonna deem that post as very unreliable, especially since it has no source. Although I'm pretty certain they got rid of that creepy ass petting feature, and the option to marry within your family.

since nintendo of america revealed you could marry enphasis on marry zero if you are a guy and marry shara if you are a girl

 

nintendo of america made this announcement so this pretty much confirmed marriage(gay marriage) so it is unlikely marriage was cut, it would contradict the revealing

 

-Elise has been cut from the game entirely. Her young appearance made the Treehouse uncomfortable. 

Umm if marriage was cut why would elise be creepy, obvious lie. 

plus, elise was in the e3 trailer

 

 

lmao yeah that's what I was thinking too. So if I make a female unit in Hoshido and I want to marry, let's say, Oboro, I can, right? The gay marriage option doesn't have any limitations?

For children I just want Ophelia and Kinu so I'll have to marry Owain and Nishiki lol. 

 

I'm not really liking this whole clone-character thing. Like, Shara is basically Tharja, Grey is basically Giaus, and Matoi is basically Cordelia. I know those characters were popular so they wanted to make characters just like them in Fates, but I see no originality. If it was just one character I wouldn't mind, but 3.. Not to mention Foleo is basically a male, younger version of Maribelle.

Seriously though, yeah, it's a bit lame, but like 90% of the designs are quite cool and with a series like this, where around 40+ characters are playable each game and each have their own personalities, I'm quite forgiving of characters with personalities similar to previous characters, I mean unless they were the mains.

I'm most excited to use my amiibos to unlock Marth, Lucina, Ike, and Robin (and possible Roy too). Though I only have Lucina and Ike atm. I don't really know how much I should level up my characters before battling the amiibos though.

Did you check Gamestop? He just got restocked a bunch and they still have a lot of him in stock as far as I know.

Kamui was announced as a new fighter in Smash Bros today! Apparently his/her english name is Corrin. There's major spoilers about the character if you haven't played FE Fates yet, so I wouldn't recommend looking at his/her announcement trailer if you haven't played Fates.

Also, they showed a bit of the voice acting from the FE:Fates, which...I'm not very thrilled about.

Yeah it sounded kind of cheesy, but I'm hoping that it was just the voice actors not really being that serious. I remember watching the Lucina/Robin announcement trailer and they didn't sound as great as they did in the FE game. So I'm assuming the voice acting isn't as bad as in the announcement.

I bought the Corrin DLC for Sm4sh yesterday and I'm not too big a fan of the voices. I thought it was just maybe the voice actors not doing too well while recording their voices for smash, but listening to the voices in the video above I can say that I am not a fan at all of their voices :| They acting isn't too great and the voices themselves just sound too unfitting for Corrin. But, oh well, nothing I can do, and maybe it'll grow on me later.

Welcome (back) to the fandom! Like you, I'm very glad they're bringing back the children feature from Fates. Idk how they'll keep justifying it via the strange plots but I want it to become a permanent mainstay of the franchise.

Honestly I love the feature too, and most of my favorite Fates characters are the children. However, I don't think it'd be good if it was permanent. Sooner or later they're gonna run out of excuses for them to be there. And if they're not doing something for the plot (like Awakening) then future children really shouldn't be there. Children for Fates was only passable because it's fanservice for the people who liked Awakening, and it's in the same time period as Awakening. But who knows, maybe it will become a permanent feature.

 

I can't wait!!! Just one more week until it's out!! I've already got my Hoshido and Nohr files all planned out. I have no idea what I'm gonna do for Revelation. rn I'm trying to deprive myself of playing or thinking about Fire Emblem so I don't get burnt out when Fates arrives

I like children too but i like it when they are implemented into the story like in awakening they were but here they are so irrelevant from what i heard not cute

 

Also the fact that if you chose to gay or lesbian marriage you get no kids has me like in a world where dragons, huge rabbits, among other things exist you couldnt thought of a way to bring children for the gay/lesbian couple. It irks me since i like having all characters

Right???? In my Revelation file I'm gonna have my male avatar marry Niles and it makes me very hesitant to do so since I won't have Kana  Like really my character couldn't have just adopted Kana in the future?

My first was PoR but i appreciate Awakening unlike a lot of older game fans who just hate awakening to the core. I actually like it and appreciate that it gave life to the franchise which would be dead now if not for it

Honestly the uptight elitists who hate Awakening just make me roll my eyes at them. Even though Awakening isn't the greatest game ever, it's still pretty good. It's one of the best handheld games I've ever played and because of it I fell in love with FE. The Awakening haters are just unappreciative of it and it really irks me.

What's grinding? I see people mentioning it all the time but I have no idea what it means.

is like taking task over and over so that you level up. Like in Hoshido there are this scout mission that have nothing to do with the story but that yo can use to level up your characters and grinding is done when you play those mission over and over to have your characters be of a really high level or a higher level than what just playing the main story line would offer

Got my SE of Fates over the weekend and I can't put it down. I'm playing hoshido and so far and the characters are really unique. I'm surprised just how different everything is/feels from awakening.
