My childhood was those books, I don't want to be wasting my time and having my heart broken if it's just going to be round two of the movie. Curlymckay 808 Posted January 15, 2017 Share Posted January 15, 2017 I loved the movie and was really disappointed they didn't make another one (Emily Browning as Violet was perfect IMO) and I read all the books except for the 13th (I started it when I was young but I never got to finish it and I don't want to reread parts but at the same time I don't want to skip important parts). The books were my childhood as well, and I think they did a really good job staying faithful to the original material while expanding on the universe. I enjoyed the melancholy tone of the books so much that I didn't like the movie as I thought I would... so now I'm a little traumatized... Are the series as dark as the books?
