Hyooga 10,307
When Kpop was under the control of soloists (Rain, BoA, Hyori, Se7en, Wheesung era around 2003-4) and was way over the idol group phase of yesteryears, DB5K debuted with Hug and reminded the industry that idol groups, particularly boy bands aren't dying anytime soon. Girl groups tried to be formed in this era but none of them were a success. Couple of years later and boy groups were reigning in K-Pop 2005-2006 (DB5K, SS501, Super Junior) no one dare form girl groups as lots of fans were overprotective of their oppas. Then Wonder Girls happened and girl groups broke through, until there became lots of them. To this day coed groups have failed to legit succeed but it doesn't mean they never had their time as once upon a time groups like Roo'ra, Koyote, S#harp and Cool were very popular in K-Pop. If KARD breaks through and gains success, do you think other entertainment companies will follow suit? Imagine the kind of coed groups the Big3 companies will form... Jimeous 2,161
AKMu, MFBTY and Sunny Hill are the most well known ones that are still active, not sure if Koyote and Jaurim are still active.

Troublemaker was well received (mostly because the song was awesome). Yes, all of this . Because i really want JYPE to have one, i have 1 group in my mind tho, the members are: GOT7 JB & Yugyeom (Both have vocals, great dancing skills & multi-talented) TWICE Jungyeon & Momo (1 great vocal & 1 great dancing skills) Wanna add rappers? Here we go~ GOT7 Jackson (rap, dancing, martial arts tricking, variety, multi-language speaker representative) & TWICE Chaeyoung (rap, overall multi-talented) I would add DAY6 Young.K but i want a greater dancer, so Jackson it is. They'll complimented each other so well ~

pwswan 554
AKMu, MFBTY and Sunny Hill are the most well known ones that are still active, not sure if Koyote and Jaurim are still active. Sunny Hill is no longer co-ed; the male member left to become a full-time producer. AkMu and MFBTY's members are related, so the fans don't have to think about intra-group shenanigans, which is why it's taken so long for labels to introduce much more co-ed groups. chiirbii 4,760
I hope so. When Co-ed School crashed and burned, it seemed like everyone wrote off co-ed groups. But even now... girl groups and boy groups actually interacting is rare, it felt a lot more visible last gen.

This idea is for a sub-unit though 😒, not a real group, of course I want the trainees to do it, but I doesn't really know any of JYPE boys trainee. That's why I hope JYPE will do this unit in the near future like 2PM & 2AM, Oneday before.
