Consider myself right leaning as well, the basic premise of libertarian principle is minimum government maximum freedom, pro capitalist and free markets under a representative republic (like USA) who's role is to protect it's people not provide for it's people. Freedom, independence, liberty and absence of undue restrictions and an opportunity to exercise one's human rights and power, the power to exercise choice and make decisions only within the constraint of negatively infringing upon others rights; autonomy; self-determination and self sustainability.
