Are they really? Because I'm more conservative myself

yes they very much are, libertarians basically believe in no government and conservatives believe in limited government, so they are quite alike in that respect, which is why when a libertarian like ron paul ran for office he ran as a republican nominee instead of a democratic one

I thought about being a libertarian when searching for alternative parties since the two main ones have obviously failed us. My beliefs are more inclined with the Green Party now. Libertarians are too conservative for my taste.

Hello, I consider myself Libertarian.

Consider myself right leaning as well, the basic premise of libertarian principle is minimum government maximum freedom, pro capitalist and free markets under a representative republic (like USA) who's role is to protect it's people not provide for it's people.

Freedom, independence, liberty and absence of undue restrictions and an opportunity to exercise  one's human rights and power, the power to exercise choice and make decisions only within the constraint of negatively infringing upon others rights; autonomy; self-determination and self sustainability. Maximum freedom, minimal government possible.

those liberal leanings do not coincide with the fiscal and structural beliefs of libertarianism, so you can have those beliefs but many things within libertarianism don't support those liberal beliefs that you hold.
