I do understand what a lot of the comments are saying about struggling actors. If he isn't that experienced maybe a lead role shouldn't be for him and maybe start little by little? Also, his acting in his past webdramas is really lacking tbh. If he's been really practicing his acting like what some exo-ls are claiming, he should go for supporting roles first and get recognition and love for his acting, like what D.O, Nana, and Siwan did, then work his way up. It's like unless you have 5+ years of acting under your belt you're gonna get criticized either way for landing a lead role no matter whether you're an idol actor or a rookie actor. SM managers should have encouraged for a supporting role in a quality show or at least do more web dramas until his acting improved. kellygreen 2,533 Posted January 11, 2017 Share Posted January 11, 2017 im not being biased, i legitimately think kai has potential? i dont think hes ready for a lead role however for those who think he did poorly in his webdramas, i understand its your opinion, but it was nowhere near cringe for me. i felt like his acting was very natural and if you think he overexaggerated in his crying scene in chocobank im inclined to think you didnt actually watch the scene. i dont know i just dont see the cringe and awkwardness a lot of people seem to be seeing. what i am unhappy about is the stark age gap between him and the female lead, thats cringe. whether or not he can pass for 18 is irrelevant its that they are casting a real teen alongside a man in his 20s Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
