Communications!! I chose that as my major because i wanted to a get a degree that's broad and flexible. I've always been interested in many things and can't see myself only being tied down. I also love how creative it is, my main focus is Mass Media Communications - Advertising which is great for me because it incorporates graphic design (which I was going to major in) + minoring in Drama so as you can see I've always been a creative person and couldn't imagine myself being a lawyer, doctor, etc. overall it's a great major don't let what other people say about it get in your head.

I am in my freshman year of Communications, I totally love it. Just like you said it's a broad area you can work in. Right now we do all kinds of projects and you learn about what kind of projects you'd like to work on. For me that would be something creative, like Eventmanagement or developing websites.

While it's a broad area it's not boring. Like I said there is so much you could do later on, I know about someone who is a brandmanager now, but five years ago she worked as an internal communications specialist. It's fun because you could switch to entirely different jobs that demands different needs.

Also just like you said people in sience look down on this, it's true. My best friend who does nursery looks down on it, and so does my ex boyfriend who does bio-medical research. But look at it like this, when they burn their asses by something they or their company have done, they'll run to "communications professionals" to save those asses. Of course I am telling

Communications is the better option, but that's because I totally love it. You don't have to like it as much as I do. You have to think what you'd really want to do. And if you rather do Business, you shouldn't give up that easily. Have faith in yourself. The best people aren't they ones who have the highest grades or whatever. The best people are who love what they do, no matter what.

Thanks!! I ended up applying for Business with Comm as my second choice, because I didn't want to regret not trying for Business in the future. Even if I don't get in, I still have a second choice that they can evaluate me for (without the supplemental application).
