Omg, me and SAYUNA have talked about this too... but it's probably because many of the groups J-pop fans like (Akb, nogi, keya, Flower, etc) have similarities with Twice. So, these fans take interest in Twice because they remind them of their own faves. Just a thought, though.

I'm a fan of J-pop groups and I'm not into Twice so it really depends. But I don't think their music sounds like J-pop

This is most viewed videos daily from Japan, their sing is perched there for months so I would assume so.

I don't know about you, but if you use the actual Youtube Music Insight, it's not on the top played tracks

You set it from 2014, the song that's gaining traction was released November 2016 so ofc older videos beat it

https://artists.yout...665244&hl=en-GB

Use this, you'll see their song in top 10

true that. my bad.

But a follow up. So is it their song that's popular or Twice themselves? PPAP was definitely a popular video in the US for a while, but I wouldn't say there were a lot of American fans of Pikotaro  :derp:

hm. I haven't noticed that many Jpop fans getting into Twice in the first place.

They don't seem like Jpop to me whatsoever either.

If this is about Japan, why is "JPop fans" in the title? And let's be real, we all know how KPop fans like to game YouTube.

there's like two K-pop acts in the top 20? It's not KPOP is dominating.

you really think TWICE fans are desperate enough to disguise under Japanese proxy and watch the video enough to push them to top 20 the past two months lol. Those are definitely Japanese views.

I don't know but the fact that the song is not even in Japanese yet is so high up, there must be interest. Japanese aren't gonna casually gravitate towards a Korean song.

What I'm saying is that it's Japanese TWICE fans, not the Japanese public. Japanese TWICE fans are the same as any other KPop fan. Just wait until the song is released digitally and then you can say something. I wouldn't use YouTube alone as a gauge of anything.

I dont. Most "jpop fans" who like twice here on OH are partially Kpop fans too. I havent seen many jpop only or even jpop idols only fans who are into twice
