1. [+7596, -457] It's vague to call her an A-list and her acting falls a bit short but she's not unpopular enough to be called a B-list....

2. [+4758, -63] A 13 year contract finally came to an end.... you worked hard.

3. [+2634, -60] Her agency's representatives are just wow ã…Žã„·ã„·

4. [+3425, -346] Go Ara's just a bit vague

5. [+1694, -75] Wherever you go, I'll be supporting~~

6. [+557, -22] If she wants to continue as an actress, she needed to get out of SM. What did she even do there? She's been there for years but she hasn't grown much. Hope she's at a place now that has a better eye for picking works.

7. [+500, -18] 13 year contract with SM;; Didn't know contracts can last so long ã„·ã„·

8. [+438, -15] Hope she gets supported well at the acting based agency~

9. [+405, -11] She's been in the business for 13 years but she's only 27... It's not too late to build up her career by moving on to an acting based company

10. [+432, -22] Lucky her. The company's representative is Jung Woosung and her company mates include Lee Jungjae. Going to work everyday doesn't sound too bad. She's filming a movie even in her daily life.

good for her since sm doesn't really know how to manage their actors

Was her contract really 13yo or did she renew it past and only left now.

I am just wondering about Lee Yeon Hee the other actress that has been SM for a long time. We haven't heard anything about her contract ending or her renewing.

I think it really was 13 years since that's how usually slave contracts work + remember JYJ also complained about SM's 13-year contract

Yeah but I was just surprised that an actress would have that long 1st contract when not even SM idol groups except TVXQ had that long one.

It's usually the first contract. Trainees usually agree to sign slave contracts of big companies in hopes to become one of the biggest names in the industry. Also, we'll never know. Maybe SM enforced slave contracts to their other artists as well like Suju, GG, Shinee, HOT, Shinhwa, Boa, SES, etc. not just TVXQ.

I can understand reasoning for idol group to have really long contracts since companies usually invest many millions for the group with no guarantee that the group will hit big and start earning high profits unlike with the actors where the expenses are really minimal compared to idols.

Also like I said many SM groups didn't have that long contract like HOT, Shinhwa, SES had 5 year long contracts, SNSD 7 years, Suju also 5 years well at least they renewed their contracts 5 years after debuting in late 2010.

So that is why I was surprised that a single actress would have that long contract when many SM idols who SM invest millions had much shorter ones.

Well it is SM we are talking about so who knows. Also the fact is Go Ara signed with SM in late 2003 like TVXQ and that time SM was probably little desperate since all their 1st generation groups were gone and and many their recent artists were doing badly. They were basically surviving with BoA's success and that's it so they might as well made Go Ara to sign 13 year long contract.
