"Music Bank is over..."

Source - kbs staff ig

According to the OP, the groups stand around/line-up and wait for about 30 minutes in the hallway for the program's producer/s after the show is over. When the PD/s comes down to the waiting rooms, the groups shout their slogans and bow 90 degrees to him/them. The PD/s receives the greetings, good words, and bows of the singers as they walk on.

Not really sure what the other comments were saying but it seems like some were saying that the OP misunderstood the scene or something lol like he/she made it seem like it was a bad scene or something because the PD/s also greets them warmly and asks about their promotions, health, comeback, etc. Here's the original post: http://instiz.net/pt/4331009

Twice looks so cute!

Wow never knew they did this.

edit:

How can everyone be so negative about this? It's not a waste a time or dumb or unnecessary. I agree that there could be a more efficient way to do this but PD/s deserves as much respect as the artists themselves. If i'm not wrong, they do a lot of the dirty work/ behind the scenes with lighting, camera, and heck even the background props for your idols' stages and you people say this is "useless?" Without these people your idols would be performing in the hot weather or icy winter outside. Learn how to be grateful to the numerous people who help but aren't seen on camera.

yeah the comments r saying its not meant to be bad its like they say "you did well, whens your comeback, hows ur health' the producers greet the groups warmly.

dang.. it must feel powerful to be in the PD's position. I wonder if legendary groups like SNSD, TVXQ, Suju, Big Bang, Wondergirls, Kara, 2NE1... etc still have to do this sort of thing.

I remember reading somewhere that managers (esp of nugu groups) have

to work really hard to beg the PDs to let the their groups perform on music shows. They have to request for meet ups, treat the PDs like superior, treat them to dinner etc etc...

no offense but that feels like a waste of time

well that's peculiar..i don't feel it's so necessary tho..

I heard about stuff like this plus all the waiting around at music shows in general. Seems so dumb

Wow the PDs are that thirsty for respect they they make all artists/idols lined up and receive showers of greetings etc from those artists? What a waste of time lmao

It seems like a waste of time for me as well when I first saw it but I read some of the comments and I completely agree that without the pd and staff, there wouldn't be any show so I totally get why the groups were (i guess) willing to do this. Plus I think it's like a tradition or culture of some sort in the industry already and/or the artists just want to give their thanks and/or show their respect to the staff... though I'm not sure if they do it every week??? because if they do... damn (btw this photo was taken during the MB year-end/Christmas special show). Anyway, I guess that's just how the Korean entertainment industry works lol  :ohbi:

well yes considering how the korean music industry is, it's not so surprising..but i think there could be other ways to do this..like personal greetings to pds and staff at the end of every group stage or when everyone in the end stand in the back and later they go down either way greeting everyone behind the cameras, pd and so on. But maybe it would be too messy (?) lol idk

The stages are filmed in advance, so when the first group "performs" on tv for us they actually could be on their way to the studio. They're only there to film the #1 announcement and final group stage before greeting the producer who's probably a busy man too.

It does seem like a waste of time generally but for them it's a matter of respect and I guess a tiny bit of power play. There's also the thing about the winner buying a meal for the producer team? It's a pretty confusing system overall.
