Do you think we will ever get a Filipino, Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian, etc KPOP idol?

A lot, if not most, of the Kpop fanbase, consists of other Asian ethnicity other than the general Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai. Do you think we will ever get a Filipino, Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian, etc as a Kpop idol too?

I feel like companies will cheat by getting ethnically Chinese trainees from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, at least for a while, due to them fitting rather obviously the beauty standards in Korea.

But I'd like to see more Southeast Asians in KPop groups - and who look Southeast Asian, rather than having been surgeried up and caked with makeup to fit the beauty ideals.

Most of them are highly likely and there are a few of them already in the kpop scene as mentioned above. As for indians, I highly doubt so... Bollywood is pretty huge and i doubt any of them would want to venture out into Korea(Where darker skin color seems to be... shunned upon) when they can stay in India with a much stable career than being a kpop idol.

Agreed. A lot of chinese live in SEA and I think they'll get chosen the most. Most SEAs are naturally tan/dark skinned and it would affect their chance to succeed since beauty standards and discrimination.
