Nichkhun's mother apologizes on behalf of him

Article: Nichkhun's mother's heartfelt public apology "Please give him another opportunity" on Nichkhun's drunk driving accident

Source: Newsen via Nate

1. [+279, -72] I know this is off topic but his mother is really beautiful

2. [+248, -75] So Nichkhun resembles his mother. How heartwarming.

2. [+348, -227] People don't bother seeing the other TV shows where he's apologized so many times. Until when are they going to make him apologize? Other celebrities come straight out on TV after causing scandals and promote shamelessly... I don't know what JYP is honestly thinking. Why are they so desperate to stick him in every variety show? Every single time he comes out on a show, they know it becomes an issue, he gets hate, and he gets hurt... I really feel bad for Khun because his Korean is too poor for him to truly express how sorry he is. Other shameless idols are always being covered up by other MCs and their scandals are never mentioned but... as for Khun.. he's apologizing for his mistake every time.

4. [+69, -9] I think he can create a record with the number of apologies he's given. He reflected, paid the price of the law, did charity, apologized several times... How many other celebrities have done this much? Alex, Lee Hyun Woo, Jo Hyung Ki, Kim Jaejoong, Kangin, etc... None have done as much as Khun.

5. [+69, -24] He's already apologized on Radio Star and he's apologizing again and yet he still gets hate ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

Am I the only one who is getting tired of seeing the "Nichkhun Korean is poor" or his Korean isn't good ? Someone better fucking go teach him Korean or something, because it seems like he doesn't know how to communicate at all. Seriously, he is not the only KPOP idol who does not come from a Korean speaking background, Fei,JiA,Victoria,Amber etc. they know to expressed  themselves well enough. Tiffany's Korean wasn't too great at debut, but she got better at it because she practiced. Either he isn't practicing his Korean or it is a total lie. Because you can not work and be in Korean entertainment industry for 5+ years and not know how to 'express' yourself fully, not to mention he has his training to period so it's like 7+years. He needs to get his Korean together.

Why are you raging? Khun's Korean is actually better than the ones you mentioned in the list. It's netizens and netizens write what they want. He expresses himself well. For all their Korean is better, they are not native speakers and their Korean still suck relatively, and Koreans know it.

It's good that he get the nice comments, but why Jaejoong?

Jaejoong actually stopped all activities with TVXQ for half a year after his DUI.  SM apologized and he apologized before going to the real reflection period. NIchkhun stopped his activities in Korea, but did commercials and one movie in Thailand before continuing the activities in Japan.

I'm pretty sure those were all filmed before his accident. I know the movie at least was filmed like the start of 2012.

I sure hope you're korean to be talking down on someone elses korean. He's not from korea dear. And please do remember that he speaks more than just korean. So of course its hard for him to just focus on korean when in his mind he can be thinking in like 3 other languages.(Japanese,Thai, & English) Take a seat and calm down.

He didn't do any commercials and movie in Thailand after the accident. He really actually did went underground during that period. The commercials and movie was filmed way before the accident. The only filming he has done was going to Tanzania for a month for that building school thingie for charity, and that was broadcasted a few months after the accident.

Neither is Tiffany,Jessica,JiA,Fei,Amber,Victoria, LuHan etc.

But seriously though, think about it, you've been working their for 5+ years...how do you not know how to express yourself correctly ? SooYoung isn't from America, but she can express herself in English, SooYoung isn't from Japan but she can express herself in Japanese. I just don't understand how he can work and live in Korea and not know how to express himself fully, he is surrounded by Korean all the time. And it isn't like this is the first time I've seen the whole "Nichkhun Korean is poor" they use that excuse a lot for him.

I'm not mad at him, I'm just like what.

personality wise maybe? like, you're not sure how to always gather your words and thoughts correctly, especially with sensitive subjects. His korean has improved over the years, but it isn't 100% perfect. With a situation like this everyone keeps bringing up, it probably would be hard to express certain feelings without feeling a bit scarred that you may ruffle a few feather unintentionally

And again. Nichkhun doesnt speak korean all the time. Just because you've been somewhere for 5,7+ years dont make someone a pro at it. Remember,Nickhun is from Thailand,he moves to New Zealland for a bit, moved to america, the korea and now is back and forth to Japan. He has gone back to thailand to do promos and movies. Then they've been in Jp for 2 yrs. That can really take a toll on someone who speaks more than 2 languages because you have to remember that not every language expressions are the same. I think thats why he said its hard for him to express himself. And Sooyoung,Tiffany and anyone else in SNSD is different from Nichkhun. Cause last time i checked, not everyone from SNSD can speak proper japanese, right? Some japanese people still have problems understanding them. Im not even, hell i dont even like SNSD,but thats really unfair to compare SNSD to Nichkhun when they both were in different situations. None of them know more than two languages unlike him.

I hope that is why. And I am going to think that is why for my sanity.

Because I REALLY don't understand how you can be surround by Korean like 24/7 and not know how to express yourself fully in the language, they say the best way to learn a language is to the place where it is spoken at and submerse yourself in it.

also, punk princess makes a point, they've been promoting a lot in japan lately, and improving their skills, so that could also take a toll on his knowledge of the language. hell , taecyeon lived in the US for 8 years and spoke perfect english until like a year or 2 ago because he hardly uses it anymore

I'm not talking about the other girls in SNSD's Japanese, I'm talking about SooYoung's Japanese, which is actually 95-100% understandable, and that is coming from people who actually speak the language, and SNSD's Japanese songs as a whole are actually understandable.

I'm not saying he should be a pro, but no one should be able to use the excuse "He can't express himself in Korean" or "his korean is poor" for him.

We both clearly have different view points on this so let's just agree to disagree ok ?
