What if Kris, Luhan and Tao never left

If I were SM and seeing how successful these three are, all those wasted opportunities.

Kris is that member who knows how to hustle - he would easily be there link to international opportunities like the US and China.

Luhan is like China's darling, imagine having a member like that in your band.

And Tao is Chinese variety gold.

Even when I look at their endorsements and projects, all that missed opportunity to have all those achievements under the EXO banner.

I hope SM will learn to maximize every group member's individuality from this point on but even with NCT I'm starting to see a huge difference on how each members are promoted... :(

Tao wouldn't have the #1 movie, #1 song, and #1 variety show all at the same time that he has right now. We wouldn't even know he was variety gold, if his ankle took too long to heal they would have probably just taken him out back and shot him.

Luhan would have like 2 movies in China under his belt. Kris would probably be in Lay's position with his own studio or something. IDK what Tao would do. They would probably have him on the backburner still.

KrishanTao would probably be like Hangeng before he left. Their individual activities would be far and few between. Exo would promote on talk show a bit more in China. But everything would probably be how exo is like now.

If they never left, exo popularity in China would have been a better than now, but not that much better.

mess

i might have stanned exo if krishantao were still there. exo would be bigger in china but krishantao would be less popular than they are now so maybe the difference wouldn't be so big tbh

They would have been in a Korean show promoting for the next comeback then slept in the airport to attend chinese show because sm better have that money and they better make sm proud and years after that they would have posted some desperate letter for their fans but people wouldn't look at it because they're busy with sm new groups

I'm actually proud of the boys and exo are doing even better after them

I knew they were going to start leaving when they first debuted, it's not rocket science. China is much more focused on the indiviual than the collective. Most Chinese stars don't work for a management company, but rather they have their own team (or studio) to hustle and work for them under their guidance.

Kris by far has the most incredible people skills I have ever seen. The way he's able to round up and have close friendships in music, acting and fashion not only in China, but also in the U.S and Europe, it would be completely wasted if he was still in SM, they would reject every offer he earned for himself like they did in the past, because he's not the one they want to push.

They are clearly more ambitious and focused on self development than SM would have liked. Any hint of that would have been shot down in order to focus on the group. I'm glad they are able to accomplsh so much on their own.

BB wouldn't be #1 in China so easily.

Luhan was the most popular one in lots of places besides China (like Japan for example.)

EXO is already one of Asia's top acts, now imagine if lukristao were already there.

EXO was SM's group meant to truly conquer China, but that didn't end well.

Now, they planned to do it with NCT, but that might become impossible due to kpop block in china. Even though nct was meant to be popular everywere, main focus was of gain a foothold in China judging by many Chinese NCT units planned for debut.

They wouldn't have achieved all they did and still do with SM behind their backs but EXO would have been bigger in China and SM would have achieved their "gotta conquer China" masterplan long ago with them ~ Probably only Luhan would have some individual stuff going on for him like movies or dramas and maybe some endorsements (he kinda would be in Lay's position I guess, not music-wise tho), but Kris and Tao would still mostly be in the shadows despite their big potential. And if they stayed, there probably wouldn't be any Lay solo that early in the game, maybe there wouldn't even be CBX and other individual stuff the current members do (especially Lay), but the fandom itself would definitely be bigger with KrisHanTao stans included. So overall if they stayed only SM would've had a benefit from it (money and China, obviously), not KrisHanTao and EXO individually.
