In a movie/tv-show, do you sympathize with the good/loyal character or the evil/bitchy character?

Like with some people who usually sympathize with the bitchy ones a.k.a prefer to like Slytherin in Harry Potter or Bellatrix or Voldemort

or just plain bitchy like ''mean girls'' type of people?

or you like mostly the heroes who do good and have good intentions and save the world or just are plain good?

i'm not just talking about the main character of the story but also the other characters who happen to be good, i'm not specifying anyone.

So, decide for yourself, who do you think you find mostly appealing and connected to your personality? The evil or bitchy ones or the good ones

And i definitely DO NOT talk about villains who are misunderstood and are actually good inside

i am talking about villains who are purely evil and want nothing but the harm of others

I think it's always better to keep an open mind, really. George R.R. Martin once said something pretty intriguing in an interview:

"...a villain is a hero to the other side." A character that we may find despicable, may be benevolent to someone else.

Whoever is written better. In the hands of a bad writer both can become bad. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of shows seem to go for a role model character, but there is no need for role models, let characters act like people and you will have fantastic ones. Let them have flaws and grow.
