Xenoire 471 Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Maybe because Banana Culture hasn't pushed Hani as the lead vocalist like before and now people only see Solji + Hyerin as vocalists in the group so they think of 2/5 as the group as singers instead of 3/5? IDK. They recognize LE as a great composer and rapper though. I think people view them as a solid group without any talent holes though. Junghwa and LE bring different things to the table, unrelated to vocals. They're a balanced group with no holes imo that's for sure, but not a vocal group. Solji and Hyerin are great vocalists, Hani's voice is so unique and beautiful for me and although Jeonghwa isn't a lead vocalist, she has improved enough to sing the chorus in songs like "I Don't Want a Drive" and unlike other singers, she sings all her lines and is stable, but Jeonghwa's role isn't sing, it's dance and she is a good dancer... And then you have LE, who is an amazing rapper and lyricist/composer/producer. EXID might not be a vocal group, but it's one of the groups who sounds better live and all of them are talented, something that makes me so proud. EXID is a dance group with ballad tracks in the same vein as T-ara Yes, but the fact that they don't release main tracks as ballads (something that could happen in the future, although I don't think it's something that will happen soon), doesn't mean they aren't good singing them, actually they sound amazing, even when LE raps... Not that EXID couldn't pull it off as a full group but because it'd be good to distribute it that way, a bit like how OC and AS had different concepts. EXID always had crazy vocal talent from day 1. when they were 6 their wasnt much a vocal gaps between members it was Uji >> Dami >> Hani >> Haeyrung but then when they left and was replaced with Solji and Hyerin the gap got much bigger.
