What exactly is Björk's race? I know she is 100% Icelandic but she looks different...

She stands out in a unique way, she kind of has mongolid characteristics but she is white.

We only know that she is Icelandic with distant Irish ancestry via her mother

 

many people think she is Inuit or Sami but it hasnt been proven due to her ancestral line not containing either one 

she's just one of the white people that look mixed race even though they mostly arent. 

 

but i agree she loos different from most icelandic people

I think human genealogy is diverse, so I think it's possible for people to have a gene pool of different features which are outside the norm of their race

She is icelandic, but has said that she has distance Irish ancestry. If you wanna dig real deep as to why she looks unique, then you have to look back to how icelandic people have descended from Norse and Celtic people who settled down on Iceland. If you wanna dig even deeper than that Scandinavian people have descended from hunters from Siberia (I might be wrong, but I read this somewhere a long time ago).
