Hyooga 10,307
I feel current K-Pop fans really don't know the power of the DBSK/JYJ/Jaejoong stans when they put their heart into doing things. Their fandom is really legendary and scattered across the globe. They were pretty much the first internationally relevant K-Pop boyband (I know predecessors like Shinhwa, HOT were popular somehow overseas too but the scale with DBSK is really different) Imagine this same fandom have also grown up and most are now professionals. They've got money to spare. I come from this era and a lot of my fellow international fans back in the early 2000s Soompi days have now outgrown K-Pop but it's interesting to see how they continue to support DBSK/JYJ merchandise and fly to some concerts even if they're now busy with their careers/families. I'm talking about international fans here, not even including the local Cassies/BigEasts/JYJ fans who still love JJ. Just because they aren't loud on social media/Tumblr/forums don't mean they aren't there, just that the community has really grown up and don't spazz as much. Despite this, you'd be suprised by how much support fans give. I bet if what happened to Jaejoong happened to some other idol, they would lose a lot of relevancy (unless they form their own company) but the fact that they remain bankable even without TV appearances just shows the amount of support their loyal fans can provide. shay 986
i think new kpop fans are ones that dunno jaejoong and would be like who is this guy or smth. I think those people would question or be suprised even. Older kpop fans usually would know his history and wouldnt be suprised.

Glou 2,430
Oh come on! Of course some people are puzzled, DBSK debuted in 2003, Shinee in 2008!! For many new Kpop fans, even Shinee is an older group. Not saying they shouldn't know, especially considering the influence of both groups, and of Tohoshinki/JYJ in Japan for instance, but this isn't surprising. That said, my bias goes to Jaejoong, and I think it would indeed be more significant if he won since he has been blocked for years and just came out of the army. The thing is, it doesn't work like that... So yeah, keep voting, I guess? And remember, Cassiopeia is a powerful fandom, a bit crazy maybe, but strong. And please, don't fight. After all, both groups are important, and remember they were friends, a long, long time ago.
etudette 934
I don't understand why the post says cassies are doing this for other groups. Are they trying to campaign to people who stan groups who have had trouble with their label?
supercalifragilistic 3,020
Welcome to kpop, don't take it to heart. New generation fans will often puzzled about anything related to older groups. Several years from now their new generation groups will become older groups. There will be even newer generation fans. And they too will be puzzled about the used-to-be-new-generation-groups-now-become-older-groups.
4minute-s 889
Cassiopeia is a dormant and rich fandom. We might be inactive most of them time, but are dedicated in anything related to DBSK. Trust me, this kind of fandom is exactly what newer groups would wish for once they passed their peaks.
babolover 93
I'm Shinee's fan, but i didn't vote and i'm not going to vote (just bc we i-fans don't know how to vote). Sometimes i'm a bit disappointed about K-shawols though. I know they're strong (3 concerts in Seoul in a row) but the digitial chart or the voting are always look...bad Sorry, don't hate me for this
memyselfandi 7
K-Shawols didn't accuse Jaejong and his fans for cheating. K-Shawols demanded feedback from GDA to confirm where all the votes came 2017.01.02 4:40~4:50AM KST to prove that voting was not manipulated by GDA with intentions to pit two fandoms even more to earn more money. Shawols were only addressing GDA when Jaejong fans got the wrong idea that we were blaming them and got involved in it and made it into mess. Shawols never blamed Jaejong and his fans, we were only trying to make sure GDA wasn't doing shady things to earn more money.
CherryJihyo 19
They dont have the respect that 2ndgen 1st gen do for the older generation that paved the way for the younger generation to triumph 2ne1 wonder girls snsd bigbang 2pm suju beast dbsk They made it happen Jyp's management is not always so good back in the days it was really bad half ass promotion long long comebacks period As a 2pm fan.its really sad to see that people dont know how much they contributed to help the company stay afloat and just take them lightly wondergirls miss a ofcourse played a huge part too I just feel like they deserve more than just a month of korea activities every year uptill now. going to japan ofcourse has its.positive side they were more appreciated and garner lots of income but they should korean singers not jpop... namishawol 375
Well the puzzlement is because it was pretty sudden. SHINee was leading by hella lot and then at 5am suddenly Jaejong was leading. We know how popular Jaejong is, but that doesn't mean we weren't shocked and hurt to suddenly lose the first rank. SHINee has been winning that category for years (sans the one where they were in japan), so we have a kind of sentimental attachment to that...hehe No one's blaming Jaejong though, people just questioned GDA, the JYJ/DB5K fans gave the receipts, and all is well. In fact non-shawols are up in arms once again. I haven't seen a single thing about this is my tl, and oh was the first place I saw this. This situation only makes me laugh, EVERY SINGLE TIME something happens, we shawols find out about it waaaaay after other fandoms have made a huge fuss, and we get blamed for it...sigh...
