I love Gong Yoo and he's so cute here.

 

But story-wise I'm so drawn to the heartbreaking story of the King & Queen.

 

Like I seriously cry every time there's a scene alluding to them because I find their story so tragically beautiful.

 

Not to mention I'm so surprised by the explosive chemistry of Lee Dongwook and Yoo Inna! I can't believe this drama was written by the same person who did DOTS and The Heirs...

Personally, I prefer the main couple. An unpopular opinion, but I do feel the chemistry between Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun, it's not a sexual romantic kind, but rather a more innocent kind but just as beautiful.

 

But yes, the story behind Grim Reaper and Sunny and their relationship is so heart wrenching T^T I love them too, lmao

Oh, I do like the main couple. And I love the whole mystic, fairy-tale innocence they show. The chemistry definitely builds up between them naturally as the episodes go bye but I'm just a sucker for the whole 'second chance at love' plotlines which is why I am so drawn with the King and Queen.

When does the story become more interesting? I've watched the first several episodes but they were kinda boring

the first episode was honestly the best story wise so if you aren't into this type of drama just stop watching. they only just got more into the historical era back story in episode 9-10. the drama is visually beautiful but slow paced and not everyone likes that.

Kim Go Eun is slaying this role. I know people is annoyed she's all cutesy but I feel she's really delivering the charms and nuances on this role when her character could easily be annoying typical aegyo kid in the hands of a lesser skilled actress. I feel she's performing exactly how the character was written. 

 

I don't even think the reincarnation thing was a plot twist. I was already so sure the about the King and Queen by ep 3 and the writer did not exactly try hiding that - I thought it was actually revealed and straightforward. It was a matter of what happened to them that was the mystery, not their identities. Also that lingering question if the King loved his Queen, and how much did he love her given he indirectly had her killed...

Same feeling. I'm not as invested in goblin-Euntak love story because with her being a high schooler and all, the "love" seems too forced, too pure and sibling like. She is just too childish to make me invested in their tragic love story. I'm still liking their story and even the cute relationship (and I love Euntak and Kim Shim characters) but it lacks a lot in the love/romance department.

I prefer the main couple, I want them to have more intimate moments. I was actually surprised I like them tbh. I usually prefered 2nd leads/side char. in most of dramas I've watched so I kinda understand you but not this one.
