Ive watched so many of her child version roles it's quite surprising tbh. She was so good that where even dramas i had no intention of watching, i picked up because she was cast in it (some dropped after the character "grew up" but anyway, Sohyun has grown up beautifully, and I cant wait for ruler. Glad shes getting lead roles for herself.

Hi! These pictures are BTS photos of her "Goblin" cameo.  However, "Ruler" is a sageuk drama as well, albeit during the Joseon era not the Goryeo era. Here's the plot from dramabeans:

 

The drama is set in Joseon in the 1700s and is based on true events surrounding the attempt to privatize the control of the water supply, although it will also take creative license in fictionalizing aspects of the story. (That’s a disclaimer that hardly seems necessary anymore; where once sageuks were sticklers for historical facts, now they’re mostly historical fiction.) Yoo Seung-ho plays a lonely crown prince who fights against a secret organization made up of the wealthy and powerful movers and shakers in society who want to control the water.

 

Kim So-hyun has been cast to play a righteous, intelligent young woman whose father is executed on Yoo Seung-ho’s orders. That spurs her on a revenge mission against him, but she’ll end up falling in love with him instead. This mortal-enemies-to-lovers setup is like drama crack to me; give it to me now.

Although I'm not fully sold yet on the somehow vague-ish plot and "privatization of water" point (still waiting for more teasers and highlight trailer/s), I'm still looking forward to this because you can truly trust KSH and YSH to deliver. Plus it's going to be a youthful sageuk melodrama-romance, the genre where both KSH and YSH are excellent at, not a youthful sageuk romcom, which we've seen many times already. Hopefully, the script and directing is good or else it will be a waste of KSH's and YSH's talents *sigh*.
