In my country Shakira was huge during her Hips don't lie era and then blew up again with waka waka even my parents know who she is. Hips don't lie is probably one of the most popular songs by a western act here. Rihanna is also extremely well know and her don't stop the music was really popular. Beyonce is well known but Taylor is also well known and love story is still a very popular song.
