K-Pop, J-pop, C-pop, whatever. We all have different reasons!!!!!

For me, SNSD is the greatest girl group in the land so the choice was clear. I really liked them as people. SHINee was kind of a fluke but it worked out in the end. I like f(x)'s music more than any other girl groups'. And VIXX, I think it was more their personas since they only had 4 songs when I looked into them. Then On & On sealed the deal.

Your turn

SJ introduced me to kpop when I first stumbled upon sorry sorry, mr simple, super girl etc. I've never seen anything like it before ... so many hot guys dancing to such catchy tunes, I liked a LOT. then I checked out random clips involving 2 of the members' (kyuhyun and ryeowook to be more specific) and found out how hilarious SJ as a group is, and their group dynamics. From that point on, I was hooked!

Beast......well I must admit it was kiki's ab's that got my attention but they had really catchy songs and I thought they were hilarious

4minute-I really like their girl power inspired music

Mblaq-funny as hell...I admit I love their personalities more than their music but both are good.

Lee hyori-same with 4minute, but she also speaks her mind well and is extremely lovable.

BTOB- great singers, funny as hell

The Chaser

How I found them is after watching Hoya in Dynamic Black I looked up his group a few weeks later.

Came across The Chaser and instantly fell for Sunggyu when he appeared a few secs after the song started. Then I couldn't escape the group when the song ended.

Infinite is keeping my interest in kpop~

I found SHINee so cute in their Replay Mv the first time I saw it and then I heard RDD and completely fell in love. For After School, I always liked their song BOY so I decided to check out their stuff and I was so impressed with their DrumLine and Tap Dance, it honestly blew me away and so I fell in love with them as well. They weren't even my first kpop groups tho, it was Big Bang & 2NE1 through a friend and I discovered them by myself

SNSD- I was intrigued by The Boy's Teaser (this was about two year's after I saw Gee) and then came out the MV, I feel in love with the song and just researched them more, and then I fell in love with their humor (especially Sooyoung's) and personalty's. And that introduced me to the world of k-pop.

f(x)- Danger MV, then I listened to all their title tracks and loved with their music.

Reading everyone's stuff I think I'm answering too seriously , but:

SHINee was everything I never knew I was looking for in a group to love but discovered I needed. It started out as a very fun thing for me and the music was beyond enjoyable and the members were exciting getting to know. What was fun and laughter turned into an addition of deep admiration and respect, as well as care for seeing where their future went. I had very slowly but naturally slipped into becoming a Shawol and it was a nice experience that still leaves an impression on me. They were the first kpop group I really loved and I still haven't stopped loving them.

With EXO, the stanning didn't come right away like it had for some people though the experience was different for me than with other groups since I did get to see them directly from debut unlike with SHINee. History was the first song of their's that really "grabbed" me and their mini album did end up being strongly stuck on repeat many times. Discovering the members more and watching them grow was fun and I found that while their first year went the way it did, there was always something that pulled me back and kept my interest, and for me that says a lot. While I had long accepted they were in my favorite groups, I didn't really realize how much I really cared for them until I had a moment with a close friend of mine and I was really left with a lot of overwhelming pride and hope and I kind of knew from then I was in it for the long haul.

I have a lot of groups I like and there's even several I'd say are some top favorites but it takes me a really long time to decide that yes, I do "stan" for a group. But once I do it's almost as if I'm committing myself to the group in some way, as silly as that can sound, and I do take the dedication seriously. But in the end it feels nice supporting something you care about so much.

B2ST: First exposure to kpop, Lee GiKwang, and their music had this effect on me, like it brightened my mood. They are the only group where I can listen to their ballads with ease and I love how the group sounds as a whole, I adore all of their voices :chu:

Miss A: First girl group I ever liked because of their fierce concepts and the messages in their songs (I Don't Need A Man, Bad Girl Good Girl) :datass:

music, choreo, voices, message
