Naruto fans?! are you satisfied with how the manga/anime have went?!

honestly i am not satisfied at all,. i kinda have a love and hate relationship with this anime...

at first it was really good, for both seasons,. but it's kinda way too biased to the main character Naruto himself..

i know the anime is about Naruto but it's kinda started getting boring when Naruto is always winning the fights most of the time lol,. to the point in some episodes i started to think: okay no need to watch this fight because i know Naruto is going to win anyway lol,..

what i dislike about Naruto is the "kyuubi" i think its could have been better if they gave the "kyuubi" to an evil character instead, and Naruto will have his own special abilities just like : Neji - Rock Lee - Sasuke Uchiha etc ..

every time Naruto wins a big fight i feel like oh he couldn't win without the "kyuubi" and that's kinda makes

Naruto a weak main character compare to main characters of other animes like "One Piece Luffy" because the real winner in the majority of Naruto fights is not Naruto but it's actually the "kyuubi" ,..

^ and i think that's one of the main reasons why Naruto himself is not loved that much by the fans..

the other thing i dislike about the anime is how it's went in the second season,.

it's seemed good and exciting until Naruto defeats "Pain Nagato" lmao,. the whole story was bullshit,.

i mean why the hell the leader of the evil Akatsuki organization throw himself in the middle of the village exposing himself?! making himself an easy target ,.

and of course when Naruto joins the fight he loses for sure but here comes the "kyuubi" lmao.

and then Naruto convinces Nagato and change him lol like wtf??! after all this years a 16 years old teen changes Nagato lol...

and finally what made the anime worse than ever is the Shinobi alliance lol < after that i was like fuck it' this shit became boring lmfao,.

^ just my little thoughts lol

yes. expected since its shounen (but honestly, the alliance should have either lost badly or suffered severe loses (like +50% deaths)
the ending was okay compared to bleach's direction.

i am disregarding the boruto continuation- they made the kage weak. screw the next saga.

I also have a love hate relationship with Naruto.

Tsunade should have been more developed. When Pain landed on the roof the original plan was to have her fight him and get revenge. (I think that would have been some really good story telling) But the author is super sexist and biased towards Naruto and pushed her aside. Also with Tsunade the original plan was to make the Sannin all equal to each other, Tsunade could beat Orochimaru, Orochimaru could beat Jiraya, and Jiraya could beat Tsunade. But then he had to be sexist yet again and make Jiraya and Orochimaru have a bunch of overpowered abilities.

Not only Tsunade but Sakura, and all the other female characters should have been more developed. I seriously hated how he made Sakura grow during the war and presented her as "just as strong" as Naruto and Sasuke she really grew into her own, only to reveal that they're reincarnations of these supernatural Godlike brothers who are the strongest Ninjas.

My biggest gripe with Naruto is that it was inconsistent. When the Manga and Show start we are lead to believe that the Third Hokage was the strongest Hokage and ninja of all time, then as it moves forward we are lead to believe that it was the Fourth Hokage because he sealed the 9 tails into Naruto, then wait no, IT'S THE FIRST HOKAGE. Seriously make up your fucking mind.

Most Shounen anime adapted from the manga are generally good, with some minor changes of course. But with Naruto, this wasn't the case. For me a huge problem was the fillers in the anime. It got to the point where I gave up and stuck to the manga, a decision I don't regret. I would watch the anime for fights.

Story-wise, Naruto as a whole is actually pretty excellent. Naruto was never meant to be a Goku or Luffy type character, those are winners. They don't have a backstory, they just have a goal. Naruto was introduced as a loser, and for the most part, stayed a loser, and wanted to be acknowledged. He always needed the help of others and even relied on the demon inside of him to win most battles.

My biggest complaint with the series lies with the whole Naruto & Sasuke thing. That shit dragged on for half the series. Sasuke could never develop into a true villain because Naruto kept proclaiming friendship and other nonsense. Naruto would have developed much more as a character if Sasuke, his odd friend in simpler days, became his enemy, a true enemy. Sakura also never developed for the same reasons.

Hinata needed more development as well. Kishimoto basically flipped a coin on who Naruto should end up with, and it was Hinata. He was setting it up to be Sakura, but he dug his own grave early on by giving Hinata the same character archetype as Naruto, the loser. Fans demanded he pair Naruto and Hinata up, so at some point he had to comply.

Honestly, I love Naruto as a series. If you stick to just reading the manga or watching the anime without filler, its a pretty damn good story. It took inspiration from so many legends, and created a world with creativity we probably won't see for another decade. But character development was its biggest problem, and with the new series coming, I don't see that changing, its mostly just fanservice cash grab by Kishimoto and the new guy drawing the series...

I liked it untill after the pain arc.

The 5 hokakes were disappointing. Atleast it had a proper ending unlike bleach.

I think naruto and sasuke got too op and got bored sith the naruto vs sasuke thing.

I liked 9 tails more when he was a threat to naruto. I dont like how all the tailed beasts became narutos pets/bitch.

damn that's so true,.. they should have made Naruto vs Sasuke as same as Uchiha Madara vs Hashirama,.

as you said they should have developed Sasuki into a true villain

I too have a love-hate relationship. The thing that I hate the most is that...He spent so much time on the emotional growth of Naruto that he actually forgot everyone else. Hinata could have been so much more, Sakura too. And don't get me started on Sasuke.

Sasuke is actually my favourite character and I'm so annoyed that he went for the cliché and put him with Sakura. It just doesn't make sense. Love doesn't grow out of nowhere...Hinata and Naruto are even worse.

I just hope he doesn't make Sarada a Sakura pt2. T^T

I mainly watched the anime so I'd comment on that. Apart from the bazillion fillers, the show's quality dipped in shippuden. The show became less about ninjas and more about dragon ball z esque ego stroking. The final boss was also pretty stupid, should've ended at Madara, hell even Orochimaru would've been a better final boss than the one we got.

I also hate that they made certain characters like Lee, Neji etc look pretty weak.

Naruto has lots other powers beside the Kyuubi chakra, such as the Sage Mode. Although when against Pain, he still have to use the Kyuubi power but that's because he was angry since Hinata got attacked by Pain and almost died. And then after that, he finally able to control the Kyuubi chakra. And that itself needs lots of training and not all Jinchuriki can do that.

Naruto's taijutsu skills is very good ever since Shippuden when he came back after 2 years of training with Jiraiya. He also has lots of Jutsu such as Rasengan, Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Justu (1000 clones jutsu), and many more. Any ninja/shinobi can make bunshin/clones. But not as many as Naruto can do.

Sasuke also has powers that is similar to Kyuubi, he has that demon from Orochimaru (I forgot what it's called). He also has Susanoo. And most of the time when he fight against a strong opponent, I often see him using Susanoo, and both his Sharingan and Rinnegan eyes. Without those eyes, Idk if he's still as strong or not. Although he has those eyes because he's an Uchiha.

Luffy only has power because he ate that Gomu-gomu fruit, wasn't he?

I also think that Naruto has much more moral values compared to other animes. Such as:

1. Never give up even when everyone else around you hate you and underestimate you. You have to keep train/work hard and then show them what you've got.

2. Also, to respect your parents. Especially since Naruto's parents died just a few hours right after he was born. And when he finally met their remaining chakra inside his body, I cried a lot T T. Also in the "Naruto: Road to Ninja" movie where he and Sakura were trapped inside Madara's genjutsu world. This world has everything that they wanted. Naruto's parents are alive. And Sakura who was having a fight with her parents wished that she never had parents. In this world, Sakura's parents died. At first, she was glad that no one got angry and yelling at her anymore. But not so long after that, she started to miss them. And when they finally came back to the real world, she hugged both of her parents and cried. She finally realizes how much she loves her parents.

And I don't think Naruto is hated/disliked by his own fans. Even though I have a crush on Sasuke, I think Sasuke is hated more by Naruto series fans because he was a jerk.

Then again, I think if you want the most correct answer to all of your questions, including why Pain/Nagato exposing himself making him an easy target and how can Naruto, a mere 16 years old boy able to change him, etc I think you should discuss this in an anime forum or a Naruto forum instead in OH. Because I can't answer these questions. I believe most OneHallyuers may know what Naruto is, but they most likely didn't follow the whole anime as much as those in anime & naruto forums. Even I didn't follow it that much. Not because I don't like it. I love it, but I just don't have enough time for it.

I don't think ships are important on a freaking shonen but it's hard to say what would happened if Naruto didn't end with Hinata, around 95% or the viewers / readers are fans of this pairing, Kishimoto just made the dream true and for me, that was an awful letdown, he lost my respect about his own manga

On another side, and more important, there are a lot of things that should made it better, like Hyuuga Clan, the potential of Lee, damn I liked this story because everyone had their moment to shine but all of this dissapear after Sasuke left Konoha, after this, all was Sasuke - Sharingan - Uchihas and of course, Naruto, who developed? a friendship with the Kyuubi (another BS), resulting on a "cute" story of the bijuus (evil chakra mass) being like pokemons and the Kyuubi being another "bullied kid"

"Shippuden arc" was terrible for me, he forgot the "ninja thing" and started to play Dragon Ball with kunais, he tried to make Naruto a peace maker (a hippie) and never answer to Jiraiya (about what he will do with the chain of hatred) and let Madara die, conveniently, because you know, Naruto would never kill Madara, so he shoulded die because even Kishimoto didn't know what to do

tl/dr Naruto = Good ideas baddly applied

I was happy with the ending of the manga, yes. I always knew it'd end with Sasuke vs Naruto since the end of part 1. :P

Sarada is best IMO as far as the new kids go. I do love ChouChou too, though.
