I look like both mom and dad but my eyebrows are black and my hair is blonde... my mom's even though she is of ukranian and russian descent, all of her family has brown/dark brown hair meanwhile my dad's sad the same even though he is greek... he only had dark blonde hair as a little child but never in my age, he had curly dark brown hair in my age. Since you mentioned you mother is of Russian and Ukrainian decent who are well known to commonly have blonde hair it probably came from someone on her side of the family. We looked into the family tree and found out that 3-4 generations ago someone else had it then. It's called a genetic throwback or something because it skips perodically a few branches each time. Imperatrix 35 Posted December 29, 2016 Share Posted December 29, 2016 A friend of mine has vibrant orange hair and big blue eyes, but almost everyone in her family has brown hair and brown eyes, with no one having red hair in memory. I also had a black friend who had one white ancestor like 3 generations back but nothing but black ancestors since, but she had green eyes. Genetics are like that, tho. If it existed at some point in your bloodline (and since you're white [hopefully I'm not being too presumptuous..], blonde hair is almost definitely in there somewhere) then if the stars align just right, you can come out with just about any coloring.
