Do they even know how much one of it costs? If they're not going to sing live then those money should be spent to buy some good qualities and expensive mics to those singers who actually sing on stage.. To those who are going to defend them and ask 'Do you know how hard is it to sing and dance at the same time?' You all should try to watch Bigbang's Bang Bang Bang, SHINee's Sherlock, BTOB's I'll be Your Man, Infinite's The Eye and Mamamoo's Decalcomanie.. They still sing live eventhough the choreography requires a lot of energy. Of course, they sound unstable at some points, but they still can be considered as freaking good.. 2. [+156][-11] Bang Bang Bang's choreography is easy?? Well, if they're going to give up their singing because of the choreography, they should've debuted as a dancer.. Why bother being a singer? 3. [+69][-7] BlackPink still sings live eventhough their dance is really hard.. No wonder why Yang Hyunsuk bought them those expensive mics.. 4. [+56][-6] I've watched an MR Removed video of Infinite's stage and I have to admit that they do sing live and they sound great.. 5. [+26][-2] Compared to now, Bigbang's live singings during their early debut days weren't really good, but they still sang the song until the end.. Of course, they also put a lot of effort to their dancings. Look at those rookie idols who only know how to move their lips on stage, will they be able to overcome Bigbang's level right now? If they're going to lipsync, they should do it properly.. Just imagine how bad are their lipsyncing skills until the reporters write articles for that? Taehyung's Side Piece 2,625 Posted December 28, 2016 Share Posted December 28, 2016 I'm sorry but like,there's something I never really understood about kpop;we can all agree that lip syncing is bad and is a cop-out, but like why is singing live, but using a heavy back track considered impressive It kind of reminds me of that episode of 'Her secret Weapon' where the contestant were split into teams and were made to perform a song. But at certain parts they would switch the audio with backing vocals out for the MR and girls who were all confident and decent sounding with the backing vocal were suddenly afraid to sing or exposed to be very weak or pitchy without it. shocking blue 7,514 Posted December 28, 2016 Share Posted December 28, 2016 Sometimes lipsyncing and backtrack is necessary, if you have hard choreo and you still sing live every single time then that's awesome but not the norm (though if you lipsync ALL THE TIME then that seems pretty lazy in my eyes) I just get annoyed when people equate lipsyncing with no vocal talent. Like, if you have shown you can sing well live, lipsyncing in a later performance doesn't suddenly discount that. 25%Cotton 7,133 Posted December 28, 2016 Share Posted December 28, 2016 Pretty sure 99% of kpop groups lipsyncs or use loud backtrack as listed below: Infinite Shinee Big Bang Beast TVXQ BtoB now, these are only 6 male idol groups -- so if we want to say these 6 groups equate to 1% of male idols... can you list 600 active male idol groups off the top of your head? be wary that if we think of another performance heavy male idol group that's 100 more active male idol groups you have to remember. ---------------------------------- disclaimer: of course even these groups will lipsync every once in a while. even some of the groups who lipsynced at SBS usually don't lipsync otherwise (and tbh since it's shitty SBS i think it's deserved). but the point is there's a difference between groups who often lipsync because "it's hard," and there are groups who usually don't (and whose choreographers understand what the group should and shouldn't do on stage).
