Records (Sony Music Records) in 2005 that can be categorised as J-mixture, pop, rock. They made use of elements such as R&B, rap, beatboxing etc. to increase the quality of their music. They set a new trend in the Japanese music industry with their undefined style of music. In one of the interviews, when asked what CD will he bring if he were to be stranded in a deserted island, he mentioned ‘UVERworld’ because he believed they are the best. He is confident of UVERworld’s future and will do his best in order for UVERworld to achieve their goals. Stage Name: Katsuya Rumoured real name: Shiratori Katsuya ( 白鳥 克哉 ) Birth date: 22nd February 1981 Position: Leader, Guitar and Programming Interest: Reading the magazines and surfing the internet He is *drumroll* THE BAND LEADER! In addition to that role, he plays the guitar and pretty much is responsible for the band. There are pictures showing him in an apron and he did say that one of his specialties is cooking. Since UVERworld members live together, I guessing that he cooks their meals most of the time. He is probably the one taking care of their basic needs, making sure that they are healthy. Katsuya observes the rest of the other members from afar and will readily offer his help to whoever needs it. Stage Name: Akira Rumoured real name: Saionji Akira (åªé‡Ž å½°) Birth date: 8th of March 1984 Position: Lead Guitar Interest: Reading Comics and Horror Akira is also a key personnel to the existence of UVERworld’s music. In fact, the very existence of the name ‘UVERworld’ itself is credited to Akira. Akira was the one who came up with the word ‘UVER’ when he accidentally came across the word ‘über’ which he combined with ‘over’ while browsing a magazine. Akira is very secretive and doesn't seem to express too much emotions in front of the camera or reveal much in interviews. This might also be caused by his lack of communication. He has admitted that he cannot speak well with others. Stage Name: Nobuto Rumoured real name: Kuwahara Nobuto ( 桑原 信人 ) Birth date: 14th February 1980 Position: Bass Interest: Watching movies UVERworld’s most humorous member and the only bassist. Blessed with the ability to crack jokes easily, he has been described as the god of humor by his band mates. He has also been dubbed the God of Humor by some fans, as he can brighten up one’s day with his cranky jokes or comments, and much can be seen from his blog entries. Despite his tough complex, he’s really a gentle, emotional guy who would cry over a song. Nobuto is blessed with the ability to look natural in photo shoots and interviews. Unlike his other band members, he does not restraint his laughter and would express himself freely in front of the media. Stage Name: Shintaro Rumoured real name: Tamaki Shintarou (玉置 真太郎) Birth date: 11.05.1983 Position: Drums and Percussion Interest: To put his legs into the heater while watching TV Normally pegged as the “quiet one,†Shintarou occupies the role of the drummer in UVERworld. Despite Shintarou’s somewhat more mysterious demeanor, in public he seems very much composed and is sometimes said to be the most mature member of the group. Still, between rocking out in performances and appearing quietly in public, Shintarou still has fun goofing off with the other members. His band-mates claim to have never seen him angry; and his maturity has gotten him mistaken as a University student. The song is still considered one of the best openings that Bleach has ever had by fans, and has given the band other opportunities to provide songs for anime as well. That FMA song was on her 5th album (i'm counting the b-side compilation) so she was already pretty successful and didn't need that tie-in. If anything it was Goodbye Days and Taiyou no Uta movie.
