1. [+2,909, -124] How about you turn your company's actors into top stars before contracting new top stars..

2. [+2,026, -105] I hope they're not aiming to be like SM..? Packaging up their other stars with the top stars in their new projects. I'll be so mad if they do that.

3. [+1,576, -91] YG's gone insane

4. [+1,321, -58] Hul Choi Ji Woo???? Why???

5. [+391, -12] YG... don't forget that you guys are a family comprised of artists who do hip hop... Worry about your current artists.

1. [+476, -28] What about Akdong Musician's debut...

2. [+467, -20] Worry about the kids you have right now...

3. [+303, -11] Are they doing this because Big Bang's enlisting in the army soon? Why so obsessed with money all of a sudden?

4. [+28, -1] Big Bang makes up 70~80% of YG's income and now that it's time for them to enlist, are they rushing rookie debuts and contracting new actors?

5. [+20, -2] YG should get on bringing out a huge rookie like Suzy. Once Big Bang heads to the army, their income is going to plummet.

Expanding his horizon bc the only successful act he has is Big Bang.  But didn't that actress leave YG not too long ago?

holy shit Yoon In Na is under YG, she's from Queen In hyun's man and plays Se Mi from you who came from the stars  :omg:

Also Ku Hye Sun from BOF, but haven't seen her in years .

I think YG needs to step down from CEO role and let someone else meet deadlines with his current music roster. YG can still be part of the musical process and what not, but he really seems to be losing the plot with all his media playing and grabbing at whatever actors he can get.

but YG has been doing that too, wait am I missing something here ? Jennie Kim with GD, and that Winner with BB ? Those arent considered as packaging deal ? SM is way more shameless but I dont think YG is never guilty of packaging deal

Didn't the newly signed actors bring their staff along with them, though? I wouldn't be too worried since I don't think he would be too involved with the actors' careers. They're already established stars, anyway. The company will just act as their representative.

They are talking about non-music ventures. SM is notorious for their packaging deals since they have reach into so many areas...MCs, comedians, drama productions, etc. They are talking about how easy for SM idols to get roles in dramas (like ttby, which was SM produced) or shows (since a lot of the major MCs like hodong, dongyup are under SM). YG does it for their artists/Mvs/concerts but not so much with non music things.

There are actually two CEOs in YG. Yang Hyun Suk (YG) and his brother Yang Min Suk. But Yang Min Suk is in charge of the business aspect of the company. I actually think that this whole expanding in the acting industry thing is Yang Min Suk's idea. It's better business-wise, and YG has stated multiple times around last year, that he wants his company to concentrate on music and that he is aware his actors/actresses are not getting a lot of promo, which is also another reason why they let Kang Hye Jung go to CJes instead.

So what you're saying is the two CEO's have clashing ideas about what the company should be focusing on. That doesn't sound too good.
