I`ve recently started watching some korean variety shows such as Sugarman , Immortal Songs and Weekly Idol and i LOVE them! Not only can i discover new favorite artists and songs, i get to be entertained as well. It`s awesome! So i have a question: What are some of your favorite korean tv shows,if you have any? King of Masked Singer( Singing competition with anonymous celebs) Kpop Star (singing competition show that was judged by Boa representing SM, Yang Hyun Suk for YG, And Park Jin young for JYP but they have Yoo He Yeol to replace BoA as a judge) Star Golden bell ( one of my fav older varieties) Strong heart (another fav old variety) Also I am super into Hello Counselor (you can find it on YouTube) and it has a celeb panel and people with real issues, some issues they don't take serious enough tho (like alcoholism) and it irritates me. I usually like talk show, with witty/intellectual banter or just for comedy Some of my favorite are: Abnormal Summit (first season the first 30 episodes, sometime serious sometime funny talk show where 10-12 men from around the world discuss about their cultural view on a particular topic of the day) The Genius (all four seasons. social/intellectual/ semi-reality show where celebrities compete to outdo/manipulate each other to win the grand price) Crime Scene (investigative show where real crime scenes are re-enacted with creative adaptation, and celebrities will try to play the roles as well as solving the crime. One person will be the culprit but s/he has to try to mess with the investigation so that the others can't find out s/he the culprit) Hello Counselor (korea talk show where ordinary people send letters in about their particular concern and the host as well as an audience of 150-200 people will listen and determine how serious the concern is. Sometime it's funny, sometime it's sad) Weekly Idol (if you're an idol fan, you should know) Radio Star (hit or miss talk show where the host keep it real and get people panties in a twist. can be fun if you dont get offend easily) Running Man (earlier days especially when they still have the running game. Very action oriented. The cast will be given challenges to overcome in hope in the end to win the grand prize, and someone will always end up double crossing the other for good laughs We Got Married (this got mixed opinions, but i still enjoy it. Stranger will be pair together and act like they are in a marriage. The first season is really fun. The Ant, Sol-An, Sang-chu couple are probably the most famous) Some really old shows that you might not be able to find anymore but would be worth to check it out X-man Love letter Ya Shim Man Man Goldfish Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Quite nice intimate setting where the artists can show a different side of themselves compare to weekend music shows. I am singer / Immortal Song - These two have quite similar concept. One main different is I am singer mostly consist of veteran singers, so if you are in the mood for some intense singing, this would fit you. Whereas Immortal Songs have a variety of singers from veteran to idol groups who try to re-create classic songs in their own style. So this one is not as serious and more fun in my opinion.
