Good movies you've watched? I rarely, rarely watch movies...

I really don't watch movies these days. Not these days, more like these past few years...

So, I really need some good recommendations!

No need to give me classics like Forrest Gump and stuff like that, because I've probably watched it before or have no interest in. Unless it's just really good and you just HAVE to mention it. I don't care about the genre, but no horror, I guess. And preferably they are English-speaking movies (hollywood or anything), since I haven't touched that area ever since kdramas flooded into my field of vision. But I don't really mind...any recommendations will be welcomed!

Just to give you an idea, I've cried in Love Rosie. And I like fantasy movies such as A Series of unfortunate events...and some spy movies like The Man from U.N.C.L.E (highly recommended!!!). Other than that I've watched next to zero movies.

Thanks :O !

2. Requiem for a dream/Trainspotting - both amazing movies talking about drug problems

3. Mr. Nobody - good movie if you like mindf*ks

7.August rush - if you are into family movies

8.Shutter island/Inception - amazing leonardos movies

9. Time - korean movie by Kim ki duk, hes known to have weird movies. From the ones i've seen this one is best one since it displays problems about one of downsides of popular trend in Korea

- Slumdog Millionaire (one of my ALL TIME favorite films.)

- Kingsman: The Secret Service (it's a spy film, but with a SUPER goofy twist. Another one of my favorites)

- Spirited Away (animated film, but the storyline, and production quality are EXCELLENT.)

- Never-ending Story (it's a classic 80s fantasy film about a troubled young boy who ends up immersed in a mystical book...only to find out, the fictional story is more factual than he thiklnks.)

- Poltergeist

This is all I can think of right now, but I might add some more, later! [emoji4]

Why apologise for the lost post?!!!! It's so helpful! You've really managed to convince me...I'm going to watch all of these! Especially Shawshank Redemption...I've heard enough praise for it. Can't wait to check it out  :ahmagah:

I searched Slumdog Millionaire up and wow, it's won tons of oscars. Definitely gonna watch this one O.O

Watched Kingsman too, and it really is cool! And for Spirited Away, it's forever on my to-watch list but I haven't watched it yet, somehow :(

500 days of summer: feel related on personal lvl, a very "real" movie about love & rls

Annie Hall: too old, since 1970s or smt, like cuz witty conversation.

Lost in translation: I watched this when I was living abroad... the movie resonated well w me.

Once: European musical film, the music here is just blessing!
