Yes! It's cute how Xander still tweets about Ukiss's debut anniversary every year too. 9muses is one of my favorite girl groups as well. It was awesome to see the former/ current 9muses members at Hyuna's wedding. Actually, I always found 9muses and Ukiss to be pretty similar. Both groups went through a lot with member changes and poor promotions by their companies. I think that's the reason why a lot of people stopped following them, but for me, knowing that the current and past members from both groups still respect and contact each other has made their departures much easier for me as a fan.

I'm really curious if they're going to have a Korean comeback before Soohyun enlists. The members have revealed a lot of clues of a new release. A while back Kiseop mentioned that he wrote a song for Soohyun, and yesterday Soohyun tweeted that they finished recording a Korean song. I don't want to get my hopes up, but it would be awesome if they have a comeback.

I get what you mean.I don't mind when Ukiss promotes in Japan. I know a lot of Kissmes get frustrated when Ukiss have schedules in Japan rather than Korea, which is understandable because sometimes it's harder to get access to their Japanese stuff, but at least their hard work is being paid off in Japan.They have more opportunities to make money in Japan with their concerts and fan goods, whereas in Korea, they can promote just as hard as they do in Japan yet receive nothing in return. I kinda felt like the last two Korean comebacks were more for the remaining Korean fans rather than an actual attempt to gain new fans. Since it's been over a year since their last comeback, it would be nice for them to meet with their Korean fans again though.

Yay Hoon! It looks like we have another composer in the group. I love the fact that even though Ukiss is almost a ten-year-old group, the members never stop challenging themselves. They're always trying to improve themselves and learn something new. Can I also add how much i love Ukiss Japan. First of all, for writing this and a few other messages in English. Second, they always support Ukiss's activities in Japan and Korea. They've been retweeting a bunch of articles about Jun being on the unit. Meanwhile,  (cough) Ukiss Korea (cough) only seems to promote Ukiss when they get scolded by fans. Ok my rant is over.

Ahh I found the thread! hello,, I used to be such a huge, HUGE fan of U-Kiss. They were definitely my bias group for a long time, and I only stopped following them after they started becoming more inactive.. 

There is literally no U-Kiss song that I don't like. I'm still sorta disappointed that U-Kiss was never really that popular in Korea, even though their songs were really fucking good (at least imo). They had so much potential.

 

Anyways I suddenly had the thought of U-Kiss today lol

I haven't listened to their songs in a while but I'm not even surprised I still remember all the lyrics to everything.

So now I just want to post some of my all time favorite songs (honestly I would post all their songs here but there's a video limit so I'll just put top 4)

 

Hands down my number 1 favorite ballad song from U-Kiss, and I remember crying while listening and watching this mv.

 

 

Seriously. SERIOUSLY. my number 1 favorite Japan song they made!

 

 

This was on REPEAT and definitely one of my favorite songs of 2012. U-kiss really changed up the sexy game 

 

 

Before Neverland I wasn't a serious fan, but this song is what made me become more interested in them.

 

Hello! I'm glad you decided to stop by. It's always nice to have more people to talk to here. I noticed a lot of people seemed to have lost interest in Ukiss due to inactivity, which is surprising to me because I've always thought Ukiss was a pretty active group. They've had at least one Korean comeback every year since debut excluding this year, and even more Japanese promotions. I think the member changes and lack of appearances on variety shows made Ukiss's popularity fade in Korea and even internationally a bit, which is shame because, like you said, they have many great songs, and I personally think they are entertaining both on and off stage.

 

"Tick Tack" is definitely one of my favorite Ukiss songs as well. It was actually the song that got me interested in U kiss and kpop in general. "Standing Still" and "Stop Girl" are also constantly on repeat for me, along with the songs you listed and many others.  I'm all for some Ukiss appreciation, so if you ever want to visit the thread and share more of your favorite Ukiss songs, that would be awesome.

Yup! The reunion is real! Had a FUN weekend with our maknae Dongho!
Was really glad to see our baby boy matured so much. I must say, I still can’t believe he’s a father~ haha~ Still so young and fresh!
Had a great time catching up and talking about the past. Yea, talked about so much too. But it felt like just yesterday with all the sweet memories from the past. Super nostalgic. But well, we are both satisfied with where we are now so that makes us really happy.
Who said separate paths would separate us? Hope we meet up again very soon. Perhaps with other members too? Well, let’s see if it’s fate.
Let’s continue to work HARD! FIGHTING!!

After today's sad news, I can't help but think about the U kiss members and the kpop industry in general. Kiseop, Kibum, and Dongho have opened up about their struggle with depression in the past and I feel fortunate that they were able to find strength through their families to overcome it. All the member changes have been difficult for Kissmes but I don't think it can be compared to what Shawols are going through right now. Although Ukiss is no longer at their peak, I feel comforted knowing that past and former members have found some happiness in their current path. I hope they always have the support they need and don't ever feel pressured or stuck in a situation they are not happy with. I feel kind of silly worrying about the members' enlistments and the possibility of disbandment when today there are fans, family members, and friends who lost a loved one forever. From now on, I hope kissmes can work even harder to be a source of strength for Ukiss as they have been for their fans for the past nine years.
