Hmm this doesn't make me nervous. when you're on the platform you see the light for the train when its very far away. you hear it and feel vibrations and all sorts of things. you wouldn't get run over. you'd know to move

It happened once, girls were happy took selfie, train lights behind, a moment later they were gone...

the yellow restricted border isn't there for no reason.

I think its only because of where I live that I say that

other places are probably different

we very very rarely have a train death and its always a suicide.

its really hard to get flattened here

in new York they stand really really close to the tracks and I was freaked out but my relatives laughed at me. after a week I stood really close to the edge too and felt nothing

so it might be a regional thing

in our country there is security and they monitor people here of possible deaths, because its not rare to jump here.

I don't know if they make me nervous per say, but I could probably spring for uncomfortable. I've seen a lot of people do dangerous and foolish things around the train tracks where I live though. I was stuck on a train for a couple hours once, because the lead car hit someone who was playing a dumb game dangling over the yellow line at a station.

AHHHHH! I see

Here we have lots of systems in place to prevent that

And in New York, just in case anyone gets ideas of jumping, they have employees and sometimes police standing around watching.

Plus we see train workers climbing down and walking around and working inside the track area and standing on the tracks all the time. so seeing someone sitting on the edge of the platform doesn't feel very dangerous to me
