Have you took an ACT? Satisfied with the score?

I took ACT awhile ago and I finally got my score.. it's really bad, fml. Have you received yours?

edit: Do you feel that ACT determines your intelligence? I personally don't think so, especially when I'm doing decent in school and am a part of the Honors but I got a really terrible score. I guess it's all about the anxiety and how confident you are.

Well, this made me feel even more shitter. >_<

pls dont! i dont think act measures intelligence! i know very smart people who dont do well simply cause they arent great test takers which isnt a bad thing at all! its just something you gotta learn

i took like 93824923482934 practice tests before i took it which helped me to learn how to pace myself, rule out answers, etc

Ugh, I really feel shitty. But you're right ~ I guess I'm bad at taking tests which is actually true because it often occurs. This was my second test and I got the same score. I should've studied a lot. fmlfml

When I was in high school I took it and got a 26. Then I had to retake it because I was accused of cheating (I didn't cheat :soul:). I also got a 26 the second time and I was okay with my score.

I definitely don't feel like it determines your intelligence. I know a really smart guy I was friends with in hs who scored very low on his because he's just not a good test-taker.

Don't hate me but the first time I took it in March I got a 33 and I retook it with writing and got a 35 :\

I didn't study the first time, but I did a practice test before I retook it, so that helped me bump my score up.

I had an advantage because I already had taken calc when I took it so the math part was easy, and the rest is all about timing.

34 meh

A 34 is a good score, why meh? Even if you want to get into Stanford, a 34 is more than good enough.

Don't. The ACT honestly doesn't matter. Like seriously. My friend got a 35 and he was rejected from the same school that my other friend got into with a 30. And also, the ACT has nothing to do with intelligence. It's 100% about timing and knowing the structure of the test.

You will do great things regardless of whether you got a 36 or 20 or 10 on this shitty test. Honestly, what gets you success and "intelligence" is simply hard work and effort, and passion for what you do. Don't feel bad<3

im surrounded by super smart friends who have higher scores

i know its good enough for stanford but it puts me at a lower stance compared to other applicants who have higher scores

whatever, i got deferred tho! one more chance :)

At schools like Stanford and other top schools, everyone has amazing ACT scores, so they honestly matter the least.

My friend has a 36, will be valedictorian, volunteers at a research center for Alzheimer's, etc. And got rejected from Yale.

My other friend got a 30 (31 superscore) but wrote a kickass essay and got into Yale ED....

I think scores matter but honestly, essays and letters of rec and ECs matter more. The 34 definitely won't hold you back :) And I hope you get in RD! All best wishes to you <3

I got a 35, but I also had years of attending expensive test prep classes which helped a LOT. Doing well on the ACT/SAT is more about practice and understanding how the test is structured; it really isn't indicative of your intelligence so don't feel bad!

34 meh

yoo a 34 isn't meh at all :/ my friend got into Harvard with a 34...
