it has to do with their age rank respect culture. ssi is something you use for a coworker or a same age friend, like someone who is around the same age as you that you don't know well enough to call oppa/unnie ect. since this actor is not only her senior in the industry, but also clearly much older than her, it's disrespectful to use his first name like that.

like i answered to someone else, maybe he did, but all i'm doing is explaining the cultural context. i have nothing against the girl. but did she really not think referring to him as that would ruffle some people's feathers? really, even among friends you show respect to those who are older by saying oppa/unnie ect normally. she called him -ssi without giving any context to their relationship originally and she got backlash from it, which isn't that surprising to me.
