Basically, career-wise there's not much choice for millennials (in the U.S. moreso) other than preparing for post-college career BEFORE they graduate, because not planning for career means that you'd be left in the dust metaphorically. The third option is messing around and try to find your passion, which is admirable but probably could only be done by more well-off students. Granted it's a miminum wage job but at least it's sort of related to my major (Japanese--I work in a Japanese restaurant where we use Japanese almost all the time).
