So let's see now, we've got Korean kitsunes going apeshit over a trio of cosplay girls (imagine what it will be like with the real deal there) and other fans holding a Babymetal themed party with Babymetal videos playing to celebrate BM releasing Metal Resistance!

Now, we don't quite know how many there are, but they're about as rabid as the rest of us. Korean K-pop fans will blissfully remain in their own bubble, unaware of what's going on.

While kpop acts don't need to sell out a dome concert in Japan by collaborating with a local or other international acts.  :hurr:

How many K-pop girl groups have played the Geochek Sky Dome? Oh, none have? Too bad, not even popular enough in their own country to play there...

How big a venue have SNSD played in their home country Korea? Surely since they are the "nations girl group" they must have played something huge... Oh, capacity 13 000...

And thanks to Metallica, Babymetal is playing the Geochek Sky Dome whether butt-hurt K-pop fans such as those invading this thread like it or not.  No K-pop fans (eg. fans of SNSD or the now extinct 2NE1 amongst others) are going to attend this concert, anyway. It's rabid Korean metal fans who are going to be at the dome - fans of Metallica and fans of Babymetal.

Babymetal are only there because the legendary Metallica wanted them there - too bad for K-pop fans!.

Wanted to see if Babymetal had done any Metallica covers and stumbled on this video

Failed to find any covers though. Any of their fans here who knows if they did any and could maybe point in the right direction?

No, not yet. They might do a collaboration in Korea, though.

1. First of all, the op was addressing the general "Kpop idol", regardless of gender. But since you attempted to shift focus to an area which you BELIEVE favors your position, I guess I have to give you a chance so this game can go on.   :hurr:

2. Second of all, as I saw on the poster they are only mentioned as a "guest", not even part of the line-up, and don't even have their photo on the poster (I guess if they are anything more than a "guest", it would bring adverse effect to ticket sales), therefore a fair comparison should be with a kpop concert with multiple acts.

3. Third of all, Geochek Sky Dome is not the biggest concert venue in Korea, they have bigger ones such as Seoul Olympic Stadium (aka Jamsil Olympic Stadium) and Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Now let's begin.

Geochek Sky Dome:

2015 - KBS Song Festival: Girls’ Generation, EXO, CNBLUE, SHINee, Red Velvet, GFRIEND, Mamamoo, EXID, A Pink, AOA, Infinite, B1A4, VIXX, GOT7, BTS, BTOB, Noel, and Ailee

2016 - Super Seoul Concert: SHINee, FTISLAND, VIXX, EXID, AOA, SEVENTEEN, T-ara, GFRIEND, TWICE, BTOB, Red Velvet, B.A.P, Dal Shabet, The One, NCT 127, NU’EST, Oh My Girl, SONAMOO, B.I.G, ASTRO, KNK, and SF9

From here down I don't bother to list out every girl groups headlined in every event below.

Seoul Olympic Stadium (aka Jamsil Olympic Stadium):

https://en.wikipedia...ist_of_concerts

2014 - YG Family World Tour: Power

https://en.wikipedia...ower_.282014.29

Seoul World Cup Stadium:

https://en.wikipedia..._Stadium#Events

2014 - Dream Concert's 20th Anniversary: I Love Korea
2014 - S.M. Entertainment's SM Town Live World Tour IV
2015 - I Love Korea Dream Concert
2016 - Dream Concert

If you find any kpop female act in any show mentioned above performed less songs than your fave will do as a "special guest" in Geochek next year, please kindly let me know. I would be more than happy to take them out of consideration.   :troll:

Meanwhile, SNSD played in dome-sized venues in Japan (1 as solo, others as SMTOWN line-up) for multiple times, what about your fave (if your logic suggest a solo concert is the same relevant as a guest performance)?

Wanna take out the Korean legs from their concert tours and compare them with your fave?  :hurr:

If SNSD didn't play in big venues at home, I guess the Korean legs didn't contribute much to the total revenue, right?  :troll:

blablablablaba

Ok, so when BABYMETAL opens for Metallica in a country have never even visited before its supposed to be embarrassing or whatever because it means they are not popular in Korea but when your faves can only play the same venue when half the K-pop industry is on the bill even though it's their home country then you want me to start counting how many songs they played? LOL.

blablablablablavbla.

I was just pointing out that trying to compare concert attendance in Korea to Japan is silly because they don't have the same culture of going to concerts and even SNSD who were for a long time considered the undisputed "national girl group" of Korea can't play a solo concert to more than 13,000 people in their own home country...

But you got MAD PRESSED and started to pull out these fucking numbers as if they are supposed to mean or prove anything about what i said!

And looks like someone does not know how to do some simple math.  :hurr:

Well, let's see, Karate was released in late March, this year, and it's already at 36 % (your stats, not mine). I don't see why it shouldn't increase substantially, even overtake Choco in perhaps less than your time frame.

Karate's view count on 9/2/16 - 20m
on 10/31/16 - 22.5m
and today (12/20/16) - less than 24.5

Looks my my estimation on 10/31 (52.5m after 2 years)  was too optimistic.  :troll:

Awwww! Looks like the stupid statistician, is quoting my posts from dead threads in a desperate attempt to involve me in a conversation I never was in, on this thread, in the first place! Given this topic, It's also unable to distinguish between BM playing in Seoul and Karate's YT stats amongst other things.

As for it's crystal balling long-term You-tube stats.
One should not count one's chickens before they are hatched - of course the stupid statistician wouldn't know that.

BTW Looks like SS got burned by Mudko!!!

Ok, so when BABYMETAL opens for Metallica in a country have never even visited before its supposed to be embarrassing or whatever because it means they are not popular in Korea

Now you want to brag about being a first-timer, huh?

Well, the first time SNSD performed in Thailand was with SMTOWN in 2009, at Rajamangala National Stadium with capacity of 65000.

Please go on.

but when your faves can only play the same venue when half the K-pop industry is on the bill even though it's their home country then you want me to start counting how many songs they played? LOL.

So we know for sure all the attendees were there for kpop.

How do we know how many people go to Metallica concert are interested in jpop/jrock, not to mention interested in BM?  :hurr:

If they have enough fans in Korea, why they never had a solo concert over there (actually never had a solo concert in any Asian country other than their home)?

I was just pointing out that trying to compare concert attendance in Korea to Japan is silly because they don't have the same culture of going to concerts and even SNSD who were for a long time considered the undisputed "national girl group" of Korea can't play a solo concert to more than 13,000 people in their own home country...

Oh really? I was just pointing out that trying to compare a guest performance to anything is silly because the bankability is unmeasurable.

but you got MAD PRESSED and attempted to shift focus again by bragging your fave being a first-timer as if it is supposed to mean or prove anything about what I said.  :troll:
