Editing is a big part but Moonhee is just going to be very popular.  JYP didn't pick classically beautiful Korean girls for Sixteen other than Nayeon (they picked the Japanese and Chinese girls for that role) and picked the Korean trainees for being unique (boyish like Jungyeon, spunky like Chaeyoung etc) but if JYP had put Moonhee on Sixteen she probably would have made that group too, she's just the type that people would support.  they actually underrepresented her early so she could get a slow burn going so ppl wouldn't hate her for being pretty like Nayoung on Produce 101 not being shown much until ep 3 or w/e

 

the editors and YG placed Hayoon extremely high for the early rounds and featured her a lot, they even edited and showed a part where YG says she did the best out of Bonus Baby on auditions so don't know what more you can expect them to do for her

I was talking about how they depicted Hayoon during the audition, it made it seem like she was unhappy or unsupportive when the others were performing, unlike the others who were shown cheering on the other members. Like when Moonhee was dancing, they had closeups of her with a serious look on her face, but there were also quick shots of the other members where she was actually smiling along with the rest of them.
