So I have to write a little paragraph about Harsha from Ancient Indian Civilization and talk about who he was and why he's an archetypal king but my teacher barely gave any notes about the concept of archetypal king.. I searched it up online but I got things from "The Art of Manliness" LOL.

Can someone explain to me what an archetypal king is?

Definition of archetype
  1. 1:  the original pattern or model of which all things of the same type are representations or copies :  prototype; also :  a perfect example

Archetypal:

1.
of or having the nature of an archetype, or original model or prototype:
an archetypal evil stepmother.

So basically a "typical" king. What kings are expected to be like. How they are represented.
Fat, with a beard, with a crown...

I'll take a stab at this lol:

An archetype is usually the most basic example of a certain, person, thing, or concept. I've seen people losely translate this to "stereotype" but I guess it's really not that simple

Hope this helps :)

EDIT: this should help!
