PETA's new campaign makes unsuspecting Londoners drink dog's milk. Will you stop drinking cow's milk after watching this??

I don't drink a lot of milk (even then it's usually indirectly) but I don't like how PETA is operating against the use of meat/dairy products. I say that this just makes their rep even worse, misleading the random people into drinking something that they probably wouldn't have drank if they knew what it actually was. It's dangerous and disrespectful, and it doesn't help their mission at all. If they want to save animals, why wouldn't they focus more on the 'helping' component than 'public image' component?
Also how did they get that milk??

It's not real dog milk, it's fake.

Also why shouldn't they operate against meat, dairy and the egg industry? animals are treated horribly.

i hate milk in general but the video didn't lie.

funny how they all went loving to hating when they found out it was dog's milk.

Dogs and Cats are transmitters of many diseases, especially in tropical countries like Brazil and Africa (Leishmaniose & Toxoplasmosis for example), while cows have better and cheap control of epidemic agents. That is why this may seem disgusting to most.

no it isn't.

Yes it's. It is also cheaper and easier to access. Nothing overkill is positive, but it's still the main source of calcium for thousands of families. Just like meat is a main source of protein. Not everyone lives in a world where almond milk is just around the corner.

I do agree that animals are treated horribly...but only because of the massive demand for the products. It's not healthy or safe for both animals and humans, and I can agree that it shouldn't continue like it is currently. But the thing is, wouldn't it be more effective if they used something more than "you wouldn't drink ___'s milk, why drink cow's milk"? Something like, "Pigs are literally boiled and skinned alive because they aren't executed properly"? The former argument is more easily refuted and likely dismissed by the public... PETA puts a shitton of importance on the public, but if they keep using these tactics like shaming/disgusting the public, I don't think they'll gather much traction for their cause. I honestly feel it would be more helpful petitioning for gov't support (like in the USA, the FDA) because it would be more humane for all types of agriculture with animals. Even if this campaign is successful, it's not like they're gonna eradicate 100% of all meat+dairy+egg consumers
