For those who play an instrument...

How do you practice/improve?

Do you have some sort of routine?

I usually isolate the issue exactly (e.g. for the organ, why exactly I'm not pedaling this phrase properly - is it because I don't transition quick enough? etc.) and then make my own exercises.

Is there a specific book you use?

I play violin. I use 24 caprices (rode) amongst a lot of other things b/c it is hard. It also depends on what level you are on. I am sure some people don't find the 24 caprices challenging

How long have you been playing the violin?

i haven't played in a long time, but back then i used to make sure i got at least 45 minutes of practice time every day. i used to look up songs that i liked to motivate me to practice more too

especially slower kpop songs, like bigbang's haru haru and blue, as well as infinite's only tears.. those were really good for practice and it really motivated me to practice and improve. also since i knew the songs it was easy to point out any mistakes
