people seem to really want a big hit girl group to happen but

it's been proven time and time again that the "release a boy group first and then a girl group" strategy just isn't working for smaller companies right now.

examples:

b1a4 --> oh my girl

infinite --> lovelyz

bap --> sonamoo

btob --> clc

the girl groups in these cases are constantly getting the short end of the stick and not getting the expecting interest because of their lablemates like these companies are probably hoping for.

so i think big hit is being very strategic in not wanting a girl group right after bts (supposedly they have no female trainees and they recently had a boys only audition). like, could you imagine a small company having two hit boy groups back to back? and actually (hopefully) being able to handle them unlike yg ?

I also think that by creating a male celebrity only environment, big hit is nipping any inner-company dating rumors in the bud.

(and before anyone says it, yes, i don't think big hit will be debuting another group any time soon and i hope they don't either, but they're clearly planning for one)

You could be right, but it's TS and Cube's mismanagment that is causing their groups to flop. Lovelyz and OMG are actually doing well. 2NE1 was released after Big Bang and they did well, and GG after SuJu etc...

I think Big Hit needs to stick with just BTS for a while and once BTS are at their peak, maybe debut a girl group but not until they become a stronger company with more public power

I trust BigHit's decisions and I'm not too worried either way, but i heard something about them having female trainees with the rumored name "The Mysterious Bella" (?) a while back.

(idk if this is true but I heard abt it somewhere)

Groups don't become popular overnight especially if you're not in the big 3. Most of the ggs you mentioned are way better off than like 95% of ggs. Give them a chance before you write them off as a flop.

To be fair, the intl fame of BTS doesn't really add up to the groups you listed, they aren't on the same tier when it comes to intl popularity, if a new gg debuts from BH, it'd have a lot of support from such a big fandom.. you know?

i see what you're saying, but i just have a feeling that a lot of bts fans wouldn't be as supportive of a sister group as you think. as a lovelyz fan i remember when they debuted a lot of infinite's korean fandom really hated on them.

i'm talking about smaller companies so big 3 success stories aren't a factor here.

that "the mysterious bella" thing was all made up rumors. one of the main girls that was rumored to be in the group is not/ no longer a big hit trainee and even auditioned in jype's international audition thing a few months ago.

lovelyz and omg are doing fine though? the only reason the other two flopped is bc of shitty management

yeah, lovelyz and omg are doing fine but they're not where they should be and need to be. and lovelyz is somewhat suffering from mismanagement too as woolim has no plans for a comeback for them rn supposedly -.-

i'm not saying any of those groups are total flops though. my main thing is that they aren't being well managed.

Boy groups never escape the getting compared to your predecessors thing so regardless of when they debut a boy group it will still be the same. Girl groups can get popular faster but bring in little money...so small companies might not have the luxury to debut a girl group, who require the same maintenance as boy groups, if not more when they are only gaining income from popular group before. Especially if a lot of that money goes into group. BH invests so much money into BTS.

Another boy group seems practical to me
