Korean speakers - Korean word help ?

I like watching Korean food shows. One word that comes up in the subs loads is "Savory".

When its a savory dish like a stew or barbecued meat you will get . "It tastes so savory".

Is this a Korean word that doesent translate to English well ? I see its meant as a compliment to the food. So I'm guessing its like a blanket term saying this non sweet food is nice.

?? not sure what youre asking

"it tastes so savory"

Is used as a compliment all the time on Korean food shows. You never hear anyone compliment food with that sentance in English. So I'm confused about the Korean food for savory.
