YG isn't CEO he is more importantly (like JYP and SM) the founder and main shareholder and highly likely the chairman of the board (who nominates the CEO) no one is going to replace him (at best inherit) (Unlike SM and JYP where the founder owns only around 20%)YG and his brother (CEO) have a overwhelming power on YG Shareholding Name Position Shares Ratio Yang Min-Suk CEO 724,014 7.0% Yang Hyun-Suk Major Shareholder 3,569,554 34.6% Both of them have almost half of voting right/ shares worth and earnings. They can almost ignore other investors, the only way YG wake up is when he hits low, very low I doubt that GD has enough cash to buy YG and his brother shares (assets are different but i doubt he has even enough assets to buy YG shares) and that YG and his brother want to sell The only way to make YG change its way is to touch where it matters (money) and have a absolute ban on buying YG products (probably not going to happen cause YG is using emotional blackmail and YG fans want to support their artist hoping that YG spare them (a bit like a hostage situation) so they compensate and consume more just to make them too much important for YG to screw them) The other way would be to rally other important investor (LVMH fund, Tencent) to make them pressure YG to make their change their management or find a prospective buyer for YG and his brother parts (unlikely that they would sell though) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With Seungri, I think YG artists would promote more, and would be on variety shows and would network with peers outside of YG because he seems like the main one (outside of Tablo) who tries to make those connections.
