Back when I played 7>8>9>10 they used to come out pretty much every year, so 10 years ago I never expected it to take this long. Glad it's finally coming out now but I just can't see how it is going to live up to the hype after such a long wait.

I mean it's development has been pretty special. FFXVI will probably only take 3-4 years to develop since they'll have a more straight forward idea.
